A/N: Sorry I haven't posted in a bit! Things have been busy since it's the end of the year but now school is finally over! (Just warning y'all I have high school applications next year since it'll be 8th grade which will mean a HUGE decline in chapter posting I'm so sorry)

Also, I want to clarify. KIRISHIMA IS NOT DEAD. I know there's been a bit of confusion around that and I just want to make sure u know. Ur sunshine boy has not perished, Bakugou simply thinks he has. Bakugou believes it to be his fault (since he didn't get help, he was in shock) and ends up overexaggerating and says he "killed Kirishima". I'm really sorry about that, this is still my first series and I haven't been writing for very long! I'm still in middle school so I hope my writing will be improving as time passes and I learn more. And I apologize again!!!! Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Also, Himiko Toga will be in this chapter. I'm making her quite a bit nicer in this series because I think she's an interesting character to mess around with. She'll be pretty ooc too so just bear with me.

----

As they trotted through the wooded paths, the warrior girl seemed to make an effort to chat with Bakugou, even though she didn't seem very practiced at it. He learned her name was Jirou, and she was a Valkyrie of a kingdom far west. She was gifted with an ability to manipulate sound through the dangly things on her ears. She really hated Cappadocacia, but she'd been sent to deliver a message. The townspeople of Cappadocacia hated her too, due to her strange appearance and inhuman powers.

But nevertheless, after about 15 minutes, they arrived in the town.

It was a quiet little place, nestled into smoothly rolling hills, speckled with wildflowers. It was actually awfully beautiful, considering the atrocities that occurred inside the town itself. There, the girl stopped her pegasus and dismounted, Bakugou swinging off behind her. He winced and stumbled slightly on the hard dirt of the path, the craggy road splitting open the wounds on his feet, which had barely just begun to stop bleeding. The girl took one look at his feet, winced, and dug into her saddlebag, pulling out a pair of leather sandals and a bit of gauze. She shoved them into his hands despite his protests and smiled slightly.

"I'm Jirou Kyoka, by the way. See you around." She grinned and walked away, armor clinking slightly and her pegasus following huffily.

----

It didn't take Bakugou long to find the bar.

After the girl - Jirou, he supposed he should call her, left, he'd crudely patted the gauze onto his wounds and laced up the sandals. They were a bit small but far better than nothing. He missed his boots, but honestly, he kinda deserved to be without belongings and money. It was a lenient punishment for the shit he'd done.

But as he walked down the streets, the odd head would pop out of a door or window to stare unabashedly at him. The people in the town wore simple linen with the occasional leather boots or apron, but overall, everyone was, well... the same. They all sported the same incredulous yet curious expression upon seeing Bakugou's furs and bits of amber. But they kept their distance for some reason. Upon taking a glance at his clothes and body, Bakugou knew immediately. He was covered in grime and dried blood, and his face felt raw. He must have been clawing at it when... whatever that little bout of insanity was... had happened, and without a doubt, it showed on his face. It must look like he'd been in a battle.

After a short walk, he started hearing yelling and laughing, the sounds of drunken singing ringing faintly through the little streets. Once in a while, he'd hear the tinkle of shattering bottles.

Basically, it was the kind of place Bakugou needed right now.

Toga's POV

She sat at the bar, sipping something that burned. It was... an old fashioned, she remembered. That's what those westerners called it. She examined her nails idly while fingering the citrus rind sitting at the bottom of the near-empty glass.

Then a man stumbled up to the bar. A shock of white-blonde hair and a grimy face with blood red eyes. He wore furs and amber necklaces, with earrings in his ears. He was shirtless, and he radiated some sort of firey energy. He looked defeated though, like a lion that'd just given up its pride to another male alpha. (A/N: For those of you who don't know, pride is a group of lions)

He turned, glancing at the woman sitting at the bar and frowned.

"I'll have whatever that is." He muttered gruffly to the bartender, waving his hand toward Toga. She looked away and frowned. His voice sounded strange... broken.

Once the drink came, the man downed the whole thing, not even coughing when the brandy went down.

"H-hey, I'm Toga. Himiko Toga. I take it you're from out of town?" Toga said in her sweetest voice. Broken men were always better in bed. More malleable, more fun to toy with, and Toga was sure she'd have fun tonight.

Bakugou's POV

"Yeah, I'm Bakugou."

The girl sitting in front of Bakugou was pretty. Small, in a cute way, with blonde hair in messy buns, big golden eyes, and pink cheeks. The way she spoke seemed sweet, but there was something fierce behind the honey that Bakugou didn't notice at the time.

So he nodded as they spoke, talking of traveling and music and stupid, stupid things that shouldn't have mattered when Kirishima was dead. He never heard the ice in her voice when he mentioned Kirishima, so when she leaned forward at the end of the night, he leaned forward too and kissed her. Because it was fine. He was just going to sleep with this girl for one night. To put his old boyfriend out of his mind. Because this was fine, right? Kirishima would have wanted Bakugou to move on too.

Looking back, he should have seen it. The way she seemed to be pushing Kirishima out of Bakugou's mind and memory. But he didn't, so when he woke up in the morning in her bed, warm and comfortable, he was almost happy. He could almost forget about Kirishima.

Almost.

A/N:

You can see bakugou is failing at dealing with grief. He's trying to convince himself he's fine by sleeping with another woman. And no, he's definitely not fine.
