The High School Struggle (Keith x Depressed Reader)

Chapter 1

(Y/N)'s POV

*BEEP*

I groggily open my eyes to the sound of my alarm clock and turn the alarm off. "Why is it sooooo early?" I ask myself "SHIT IT'S MY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!" I scream jumping out of my bed running to my closet grabbing my school uniform. The school uniforms are a white button up blouse with the Voltron crest on the left side, a black skirt, a beige sweater with the Voltron crest, a red tie, and knee high socks (only for the girls). I quickly put the uniform on, making sure to hide the scars on mu wrists. I run into the bathroom brush my teeth, comb my hair, and run downstairs to be greeted by Shiro. "Good morning (Y/N). Want some breakfast?" Shiro asks. "No I'm not hungry." I respond dully while look at my phone scrolling through Instagram. "Well don't forget to eat something later. You'll need to take the bus today because I need to do a couple things first I'll meet you at school." He says while handing me my backpack. "Ok, see you at school." I say while putting on my shoes and grabbing my backpack and walking out the door. "*sigh* I hope I don't get bullied this year." I say after I shut the door and start to walk to the bus stop.

After the bus finally arrives I walk all the way to the back of the bus and sit in the last seat. I get out my headphones and plug them in and listen to the song Broken by Lund. The bus just dropped us off at school. I start to walk towards the school entrance and take out my headphones and put my phone away. I look up to see a group of people standing at the school entrance it looked like the school council. They all look very friendly except for one of them, his hands were his pockets and a blank expression. He had a black mullet and dark purple eyes.

"Excuse me, but you must be (Y/N) Shirogane? Right?" A girl with light grayish-blue hair tied into a messy bun asked and I shake my head yes. "Oh sorry, my apologies let me introduce myself. My name is Allura I'm the vice president of the student council." Allura says holding her hand out for me to shake. I shake her hand and feel a hand on my shoulder. I quickly turn around and grab the person's wrist just to see Shiro. "Phew it's only you." I say letting go of Shiro's wrist and turn around to see Allura stunned by my reaction. "Hehe oh sorry about that I take martial arts and have a quick reaction time." I say scratching the back of my head fake smiling. "Uh well, let me introduce you to  the rest of the school council. This is Keith, Lance, Hunk, and Pidge. Also Shiro is the student council president." She says pointing to the mullet, the lover boy, the scared one,  the girl with short hair and gestures to Shiro. "Well then, I guess we should give you your schedule and you'll be off on your way." Allura says handing me a piece of paper with my classes on it.

I then say thank you and leave to go to my locker and put my stuff in it and then walk to my first class. 'Lets see I have history first, Spanish next, algebra 1, and then lunch.' I think as I read over my schedule. Then I look at my phone and immediately run to the first class. I make it into the room just as the bell rings. "Ah you must be (Y/N) Shirogane. I'm the history teacher Mr. Holt." You nod at a man with gray hair and glasses. "Alright class there is a new student (Y/N) Shirogane. Would yo be kind enough to introduce yourself." Mr. Holt asks. "Sure I'm (Y/N) Shirogane. I like drawing and I'd rather be at Galra High." I say with a dull  tone. I look over at Mr. Holt who looked offended. "Ok well you can sit next to James Griffin, James would you raise your hand please?" Mr. Holt says while James raise his hand. I walk to the back of the room and sit down.

*RING*

"...And that's all for the lesson. Class is dismissed." Mr. Alfor said dismissing us. I gather my things and head to the cafeteria.
