I'm sorry that I just disappeared for a while. It's been a rough past few months for me. Around the end of January, I got really sick and a few weeks later I was sent to the hospital, where I was for a month. I just got out earlier this week and thankfully, I'm feeling a lot better now. I don't really want to talk about it, but that's why I have not had my phone for the past month. I'm going to be honest, the days were painful, but at least I had my pencil and sketchbook. All I was able to draw were sketches and eventually I got a few Micron pens where I lined a few. It's all a dump, but here are a few of the nicer sketches.

The first doodle is simply the letter K surrounded by tangle patterns. It's from when I was in school around exam time at the end of January. I don't know the exact dates, because I just took all the photos now and I don't date each drawing. 😟

This one is from around the same time period, but I started it much earlier in the month. I don't know exactly where the idea came from, but I was feeling a lot of pain, physically and emotionally. I use the phrase "I'm falling apart" a lot and this somewhat illustrates that feeling. It's as if her body has shattered into pieces and all that remains is her head and neck, where she is forced to lie alone with her thoughts and feelings. Among the broken pieces, leaves and branches are tangled in to symbolize growth. Even through the shattered glass, life can learn to grow.

Here's my first sketch from the hospital. The drawing was inspired by something I saw on Instagram, but I can't remember who's drawing it was now. It's supposed to be as if the girl is dreaming on a cloud. The pose looks really stiff though and what happened to the right arm? The hand is turned in the wrong direction. I literally drew two left hands! Oof, this is what happens when I draw without any references.
