Red eyes glow from a dark void in the cold vacuum of space. The fundamental atomic structures of a humanoid body begin to reassemble around the eyes as it begins to take shape slowly. As the body begins to regenerate, you will now witness the origin of Lyra.
Many years ago, there were sightings of portals to another dimension located all over the world, from Grenadyn to even the barrain Reshabi deserts of Kenyabu. These portals took those who dared to go through them to a hellish and fiery dimension where banished individuals went. Today, that dimension is now known as the Netherrealm. Natives of this dark dimension are referred to as Nethereans, who are born with this special ability known as Hellfire, considered to be the polar opposite of the Aetherforce. This ability allows Nethereans to set themselves on fire, to summon demonic spirits, manipulate fire without the need of magic, and much much more. These people were feared not only for that, but for that they also can regenerate limbs and reincarnate themselves when dead. However, the reincarnatation ability is lost with age, and can be a huge backdrop for them.
When Snowballia first encountered the Nethereans, it was a hostile invasion resulting in the deaths of the original Knights of Snowballia. This was because Xenovus had developed a hateful relationship toward humanity, because he had let one get away with marrying someone he had loved since day one. Many years prior to the first encounter with Xenovus, he had a daughter named Lyra. She was the heir to the Netherean throne, and was one of the most skilled warriors known across her home dimension. One day, she had come across Snowballia during a training session done by some of the original members of the Knights. One of them, Phillip Kernius, the son of King Francis Kernius VIII had led the Knights in training for years. He was lovestruck the moment he laid his eyes on Lyra. They started out as friends at first, hanging out after training sessions and introducing her to King Kernius and the other Knights. Eventually, the two fell in love with each other and wanted to marry. But the news of these two in love did not make Xenovus approve of it, as he forbade Lyra from seeing him. Being the rebellious person she was, she sought out to see him anyway, much to her father's dismay. As they continued to share their feelings day by day, Phillip popped the question to Lyra, asking her to be his wife. Of course, she would say yes to get away from Xenovus, who was infuriated at this moment in time. The two married in secret and chose to stay in the overworld where they would have one child, Sarah. When hearing the news of Lyra's pregnancy, Xenovus had begun exacting his hate, disowning her shortly after having Sarah with Phillip. After heated arguments and defiant fightings, Lyra chose to run away from the Netherrealm for good. But Xenovus would not back down, as he had just finished constructing the Life Dsstroyer, a weapon known to destroy even the tiniest of atoms that make up the life forms found on our planet, and to collect the souls of the living. Lyra, desperate for help rushed over to King Kernius to negotiate with Xenovus about the issue at hand, but it only made matters worse. His compassion for Lyra had been his undoing, as Xenovus threatened to use the Life Destroyer unless Kernius made Lyra and his son kill their newborn child. She was furious at his incentive, threatening to kill Xenovus instead as she really cared for Sarah when she was born. The father and daughter fought over this issue, abusiveness and defiance portrayed the tragedy that would unfold. King Kernius tried his best to break up the fight, but he was pushed back by Xenovus as he activated the Life Destroyer. Seeing the weapon charge and ready to fire at him, Lyra pushed him out of the way to save him from being killed. Unfortunately, Lyra's soul was trapped inside the Life Destroyer, and Xenovus ordered Kernius to never come to the Netherrealm again. His son Phillip was widowed until Xenovus killed him along with the rest of the original lineup, with Sir Hira barely escaping and King Kernius being the sole protector of Sarah. This had sparked the hostile relationship between Snowballia and Xenovus that would carry on for 5 whole years until he was slain by the new lineup of Knights. What became of the Life Destroyer was that after Lago failed to retrieve it for himself, the weapon broke after falling into the ocean, releasing all the many trapped souls into space, including Lyra.
