Knights of Snowballia: Reprisals

Chapter 5: Vox Irae

As night falls upon the world, Lyra appears from the skies above. She is presumably in Linghun, the kingdom that neighbors Grenadyn. She triggers her Hellfire ability and reigns a disastrous trail of destruction across a small city close to the capital known as Shinjuku. The city burns due to her creating massive storms of fire that destroy everything in its path. As she surfaces down, the militia attempts to stop her, but they fail as she decapitated many who stood in their way. Whatever they tried to do, it was proven to be no use as Lyra blazed through their defenses and killed the ruler of the city. She then flew up into the sky and summoned flames from her hands to burn the remains of what was left. She conjures a fiery tornado powerful enough to rip the ground into pieces and kills every remaining citizen of Shinjuku.
No survivors remained from the cataclysm that has rained down on the city. She then uses her Hellfire ability to set herself on fire for a decent amount of time as she unleashes destruction upon the rest of the world. Not one army could possibly stop Lyra in her tracks as Kenyabu falls short and is completely ravaged by her flames, and when she approached Eustacea, massive tsunamis engulf coastal cities all over. News articles published by those far from disaster would title her
"The Cosmic Calamity".

Meanwhile, back at the palace a funeral is being held for Sir Hira and Kylei. All of Snowballia is in attendance along with a few visitors from Grenadyn.

"My fellow Snowballians, yesterday marked a tragedy for all of us who are here at this very moment. After a grueling battle, we lost two of our dearest friends at the hand of this new threat. Sir Hira has been slain by Lyra, along with Kylei." Sarah says as she looks at their caskets with a tear in her eye.

"Who?" A citizen asks sarcastically.

"The Cosmic Calamity itself has resurfaced from the Netherrealm to annihilate what we have built all those years ago." Dairrion replies and continued,

"She supposedly has the power to move planetary objects at her own will. She's currently out there destroying multiple kingdoms around the world. But she also murdered Sir Hira and Kylei."

"Sir Hira was a great leader at the time the Knights were first founded by my grandfather King Kernius VIII. His magic skills were on par with that of my husband. He helped raise me through my early childhood as did he. But now that he's gone... I don't know what we could possibly do..." Sarah says before crying in front of the funeral attendees.

"Mommy? What's wrong?" Her daughter Cecilia says to her as she tells her,

"I'm a little upset at the moment Cece, where's your brother?"

"Out there training with DJ and Josh, they seem really nice."

"Well, I have to deliver this speech real quick sweetie, go play with Allison real quick and I'll get back to you. Love you." Sarah says as she kisses her daughter and gets back to the podium.

"Sorry guys, my daughter was just looking out for me. As I was saying, Sir Hira was a valorous person for all he's done for this great kingdom. But now that he's gone, we must avenge him by defending our kingdom from Lyra. If she succeeds with her actions she will erase us all from the face of this world without any hesitation of doing so. But we must also never forget that we lost another soul today, Kylei. She was a beloved sister to Camryn and Max, who my husband rescued from Xenovus about 12 years ago. She too sacrificed her life to ensure the fate of Snowballia will not be destruction at the hands of Lyra. May these two be graced by Solara as they head into the afterworld. The rest of us will have to train ourselves to fight off this threat at hand, for we will certainly not go quiet." Sarah says as the audience applauds her with approval of her plan.
She gets off the podium as Dairrion follows behind her as the two start a conversation.
