Chapter 3

Sobrang tuwa ang nararamdaman ko ngayon dahil narin sa pagkapanalo ng tatlong istorya na ipinasa ko sa competition para sa most read novels in town..
I recieve three consecutive awards and that makes my company where I belong get known in the country, most of all, the birth of QueenOfHearts which is the author of the story.

Halos lahat ng kabataan ay hook na hook sa pagbabasa ng mga nobelang naisulat ito. Di Lang daw dahil sa nakakakilig Ito kundi napapanahon din. I just thought that it's my luck that time. But still, that is because of the relationship I have.

Who is that QueenOfHearts? obviously, it's me. But ofcourse, only my company knew who is that author.

I am currently driving to our company. I know that my 3-year boyfriend-Jake, is there because Joanne called me. She has a nervous voice back then though.

I am smiling from ear to ear and approached whoever I met in the hallway, I'm just so happy.
Tommorow is my scheduled booksigning. I won't wear any mask tomorrow because we've decided to reveal my identity. My readers are also curious about the guy whom I always dedicate my story, and that is Jake.

Im going with him tommorow, gosh! Im so excited.

"Stop it babe! Someone might see us."
"What? You're gonna tell her about us afterall. Why bother hide it? tsk!"

Please tell me I heared it wrong. I know, it's Jake's voice.
Ayoko na sanang tumuloy pa pero,

"Hey Shine! What are you doing there?"

Sigaw ng katrabaho ko dahilan upang mapalingon sakin ang dalawa na busy'ng busy magharutan. Damn! Bat di ko maialis ang titig ko sa kamay nyang nakahapit sa bewang ng haliparot na iyon?!

"Oh, there she is! Tell her now babe!"

Wait-What?? Oh come on!

"Shine."

What Jake?! Why can't you tell me now?! Ano naputol na yung dila mo?!

"Im sorry."

"You're what?! You're what Jake?!"

Nagsidatingan na ang lahat ng katrabaho ko dahil narin sa lakas ng boses ko. Wala akong paki alam! Kahit pa lumabas pa ito sa magazine or so I don't effin care!

"Don't be so dumb Sunshine! We're in a relationship! Jake and I are in a relationship for almost five years now! Ginamit kalang nya! Ginamit kalang nya para makilala sya, para sumikat sya. Don't you--

"Shut it you bitch! Get out of my company! Get out now!"

"Huh! Dont meddle with us oldhag! What now Shine? Aren't you gonna cry?? Aren't you gonna beg for Jake's love?"

"Why would I? Im not desperate enough. Im not in need of those so called love your saying Mitchy. In fact, you're the one whose in need, so I'm gonna give it all to you, for free. I don't need garbage inside my property, so I'm gonna give it to the garbage man."

"You piece of--

"Guard!"

"I dont need you anymore Jake. We're over. Oh Im sorry, I mean, tapos na yung pagpapagamit ko sayo. You'll suffer Jake. Mark my words!"

Napaupo nalang ako sa sahig ng maka alis ang dalawa. Ang sakit! Ang sakit sakit lang! Ang tanga ko na hindi ko pa malaman na harap harapan na pala akong ginagago ng dalawang yun!

Katangahan nga naman. Ilang beses na ba akong naghinala? Ilang beses ko na nga ba silang nahuli? Ang tanga ko lang!

Dinaluhan nalang ako ni EIC at ni Joanne para makaupo ng maayos. Walang nagsasalita. Hindi ko lubos maisip kung saan ko nahugot ang lakas kong iyon para hindi bumigay sa harap nila. No! I wont do such thing to satisfy them!

I wipe my tears and went to my desk. I heard EIC sigh, I know she's mad. I know.

"What's your plan now?"

"Stick to the plan."

"But, we all know what happened! You know that we can't expose it to the pres! Ikaw lang ang maagrabyado!"

"Walang makakaalam kung walang magpapaalam.. We can always say that--that person whom I always dedicate my stories was just someone no one needs to know!"

Shit this life! I dont effin care about that booksigning anymore! But I dont want to lose my readers. I want them to believe that love is forever. That it exist, but how can I make them believe in me, when I myself didn't believe in that now.
