"so, if your father is Russian, how come you're a Gonzales ? it ain't Russian"

Maritza asks arching her eyebrow

"well, his mother is. she got married to a Gonzales and my father was born in Russia but he came here at a very young age so he's Russian-American"

Flaca explains arranging her position so she's facing Maritza

"that's so cool, so is it true Russians are hot?"

Maritza asks curious making Flaca giggle

"I mean my daddy is, I don't know about  others"

Flaca says now laying on her stomach but her head still tilted to the side to face Maritza

"show me a picture"

Maritza says jumping form her position

"ok, just don't turn the bed into an ocean"

Flaca says unlocking her phone, Maritza replies with an eye roll and a 'shut up'

"here"

Flaca says passing her the phone, Maritza's jaw drops seeing the man in the picture

"no wonder you call him daddy"

Maritza says almost drooling

"ew Mari! can you not please?"

Flaca says snatching her phone back from Maritza

"Bro he's hot! and he's 35? dang god bless"

Maritza admits

"yeah, I just hope he's still breathing"

Flaca says looking at the photo caressing his face

"don't give up that easily, please? we know he was alive a month ago. Maybe he wasn't even near that area when the bomb went off. Did you try to contact the military and ask?"

"I'm scared to"

Flaca admits locking her phone, Maritza doesn't respond knowing how sensitive the tall woman was when it came to her dad, so she changes the subject

"can we talk about how you failed to mention that your birthday is on the 11th? cause in case you didn't know TODAY IS 11TH"

Maritza says now sitting up, Flaca does the same after a few seconds

"I did know, it's the first birthday without my dad, he always made it for my birthday. I don't feel like celebrating without him"

Flaca huffs

"why didn't you tell me? I would've got you something"

Maritza says giving her pouty lips

"you gave me a friend"
