"I've never been in a serious relationship but I just never feel attracted to men I guess? I feel like women are just more my type you know? I'm sure there are good men out there but for me the only good man is my daddy so like, I don't know how to explain it you just know what you want by time you know? you gotta give yourself time"
they both sat Indian style facing each other while Maritza listened intently to what Flaca was saying after a few minutes of Flaca explaining how she was never attracted to men romantically Maritza takes a deep breath and lets herself fall on her back
"ugh fuck I don't know now! like I've been with men before but I just never felt deeply attracted to them I guess?"
Maritza explains sitting up again
"what about her? this woman do you feel deeply attracted to her?"
Flaca asks glancing at the small woman who was looking at her and after turning her head to distract herself by looking at Tipsy happily playing with Toby and can't help but smile, Maritza was still looking at her, her eyes roaming over Flaca's features as if she was trying to memorize every single detail
"I guess yeah, at least more than I've ever been attracted to any boy I dated?"
Maritza says after getting the tall woman's attention
"well maybe you're bisexual?
"I don't know I just want the girl damn"
Maritza says rolling her eyes to the back of her head and pouting as she laid backwards her hands beneath her head for support making her shirt ride up a little and reveal part of the small girl's tanned body, Flaca looks down at her with a small frown feeling bad about how confused Maritza was, she lays back and turns on her side looking at the small girl
"just be with whoever you wanna be with, you don't need any labeling like gay or any of those things, you like a woman? then be with a woman"
Flaca says smiling at her
"yeah but it's always nice to not be confused about which gender you want to date"
Maritza says her voice laced in sadness
"then experiment, you've been with men you know what kinda garbage they are, give a woman a chance and then try and choose"
Flaca says still smiling at the small girl who looked up to her
"I'm not using women, I just want one girl"
"then go for that one girl"
Flaca says chuckling
"let her know that you're not sure of what you want but do tell her that you've never been attracted to anyone like you're attracted to her"
Flaca says now laying down to in the same position looking up to the bleeding sunset
"ugh we'll see, can we change subject? it's making me nervous just thinking about asking her out"
Maritza says covering her face with both her hands
"sure, look at them"
Flaca says as she turned her gaze towards the dogs running around the pitch
"they look so happy"
Maritza says as both the dogs noticed the two looking at them and started running towards them
"1...2...3"
Flaca counted looking at her dog who at number 3 fell face first on the green grass did a front roll and found herself back on her 4 legs running towards her owner
