I heard the key turn in the door. What was I doing? A week ago I would've run away by now and hid in a corner. Now? Now I'm walking into his house. I'm letting him take pictures of me. I'm giving feedback about his brother's band. I'm being a normal teenager. When did this happen?

I've only known him for a day. If he can change me this much in a time span of one day, how much will I change in the next week? Will I still even be me?

"Home sweet home." Caspar says as the door swings open.

The first thing I see is a counter full of dirty dishes, and then I see him. A guy who looks almost just like Caspar, except with a bigger nose. He was naked. He had no clothes on. He was going commando. The guy looks up at us. "Oh hey, who's the chic, Cassy?" He asks.

"Rin, you know there's a reason mankind made clothes." Caspar replies.

"There's also a reason that people exist, but people do stupid stuff." Rin replied as he took a bite of his strawberry pop tart.

"That didn't even make sense!" Caspar exclaimed.

"Yeah well, neither does your mum."

"She's your mum too!" Caspar's eyebrows were at such a sharp angle I'm pretty sure you could've carved a stone with them.

"Mum?" I whispered.

Caspar walked over to his couch and threw Rin a blanket. "Cover it up. I mean we have a guest."

Rin grabbed the blanket and rolled his eyes. "Last time I checked you weren't into girls." He mumbled.

"We've been over this. We were playing spin the bottle. It landed on that guy." Caspar explained.

"Yeah, but you enjoyed it. Plus, you know there's more than one sexuality. You could be bi or pan or poly..." I'm pretty sure Rin would have named off a trillion more, but Caspar cut him off.

"I'm going to kill you!" Caspar screamed as he jumped over the counter. Rin laughed and threw a spatula at Caspar's head.

I heard the thud of the spatula against skin. Caspar glared at Rin. "Um... B-believe it or n-not, I have a c-curfew." I stumbled.

"Yeah, yeah that's right. Okay yeah follow me." Caspar said.

Out of the corner of my eyes, I see Rin smirking. Caspar led me through a series of doorways, until we finally reached some stairs. "Ladies first." He says.

"D-downstairs?" I ask meekly.

"Yeah. My room is down there." He gestured to the bottom of the stairs.

So I walked. The stairs were creaky and I could feel the wood threatening to break under my weight. "Hey, Cas?" Caspar asks.

"Hm?" I reply.

"I'm sorry about my brother. He's kind of a jerk, but he's my jerk. I promise he's not always like that. I mean most of the time yeah but..." Caspar rambles.

I turn around so that I'm facing Caspar. We're so close that if I wanted to, I could kiss him. I take a step down. "It's fine."

That big goofy smile spreads across his face again. "I know a lot of people. Some I wish I didn't know, but out of all of them, you are the most extraordinary. I'm over the moon that I found you." Caspar takes a step down so we're back to the same distance as before.

No one's ever said anything like that to me before. My heart begins to race. What did this mean? I barely knew the kid. Scratch that. I barely know the kid. At this moment, I'm tempted to throw my body at him.
