Hopu woke up at lunch time. Her body felt a little numb and she had a bad headache. Hopu sat up and looked around her.

"Where am I?" she thought. "Was it all just a nightmare?"

It wasn't. The attack was real. The lost of her best friend and her home. Hopu realized it when she noticed the bandages on her upper arm and the bruises all over her body. Even the room and the blanket where new to her. Was she captured by the enemy? Was she save? Where was her godchildren?

She threw the blanket to the side and stand up. She staggered to the door and opened it. The dizziness in her head took over her and she stumbled.

But before she hit the floor two strong arms catch her. Gently he puts her on the floor. "I know that you want to see the turtle but first you need to rest. You were badly hurt. Just ring the bell beside your bed if you need something." He sat next to her on the floor. Gaoto looked worried at her. He didn't know why but he took Hopu to his heart the moment he saw her.

"Where are my godchildren?" Hopu wasn't afraid of the man in front of her, but she didn't trust him. Not when she didn't know what happen to the children of her best friend.

"My younger siblings babysits them. I checked them and nothing seems wrong with them in my opinion. I don't know much about mutants but I'm willing to learn more about them. Besides the little girl with the yellow eyes doesn't seem to trust men." Gaota scratched the back of his head by the last sentence.

Before Hopu could anything respond a voice was scream down the valley.

"Gaoto! Something seems wrong with one of the eggs!" This voice belonged to Sauda. Gaotos little brother.

"When I would say that it is better to stay here you would go anyway, right?" Gaoto looked back to Hopu and how he expected she already stand on her feed. "I take it as a yes."

Hopu ran in the direction the voice came from. Gaoto after her. In the door frame Hopu stoped and leaned against the frame. Her dizziness came back.

"I swear I didn't do anything. The crack just appeared." Sauda held his hand to the air. In front of him laid the eyes. One the older one was a long crack in the shell.

"Breath, brother. I doesn't have to be a bad sign." Gaoto took Hopu by the hand and shoulder and lead her to the eggs. He look out that she didn't felt and that she sit down safety.

Hopu looked at the cracked egg while more cracks appeared. On her face appeared a smile when she noticed that the egg was going to hatch.

"Where is Larota?" she asked.

"Who?" respond Sauda in confusion.

"The turtle girl." Gaoto looked annoyed at his brother.

"Outside with Chichi. She wanted to show Larota something. Should I get her?" Sauda asked while standing up.

"That would be nice." Hopu answered and Sauda goes outside. On her face appeared a frown when her thoughts drifted to Dariyasa. She shrugged when Gaoto touch her shoulder.

"Everything okay?" On his face appeared the worried expression again.

"I just thought about my best friend. She should be here and watch when her children hatch. Not me. She shouldn't have take my life over-" Hopu voices cracked when she began to cry. Gaoto took her into his arms.

"She would had a reason to pick you. She wanted that you live. It was her decision." Hopu wrapped her arms around Gaotos body. His warm helped her.

"But it feel so wrong. I can't watch over her children alone. I'm just still a children too." Hopu felt again the weakness inside her body.

"You're not alone. You have us now. We can handle it together." Gaoto hugged her and kissed her hair like he always did when his sister cried.

Hopu broke the hug and looked Gaoto in the eyes. She could tell that he didn't lie to her. "Thanks for saving us."

"You should say that to the heartless sensei who didn't care about the weather when it's time to train. I just carried you." Gaoto began to blushed after he said that.

"Sorry to interrupt your conversation but here is someone who likes to see you." Chichinama stood in the door frame with Larota in her arms.

"Hopu!" Larota said while she pointed at her godmother.

"That's the first time she speaks or do anything that looking angry at one of us. Besides I'm Chichinama. Gaotos little sister and the older twin of Sauda. Chichi is also okay." She handled Larota over to Hopu.

"Nice to meet you." Hopu said while Larota cuddle with her. Larota didn't ask where her mother was. She was used to it to spend sometimes time with Hopu alone and she was happy to see a familiar face.

Another cracks appeared and the egg hatched. The little turtle looked at Hopu and Larota. Her eyes were hazel brown and she was a way more little that Larota.

"Welcome to life Talena." Hopu smiled and lifted Talena on her lap next to Larota. "Larota say hello to your new little sister."

Larota looked at Talena confused.

"I don't want her." was all she said.
