Chapter 13

Evander's POV:

"Evander!" I sit up gasping for air as someone shakes me. Goldilocks from earlier is looking at me with concern on his face. I pant, why did I have to remember such a horrid thing? I bite my lip, trembling a little. I don't want to cry, but that memory kills me. Our relationship wasn't the same after that. Lorcan was always gone. Not literally, we'd be talking and suddenly he'd just start staring blankly at the wall. I think he had been worried about the fact that the woman he slept with was pregnant.

"I'm sorry." I apologize. I look at my shoulders, which are being gripped by Goldilock's. He blushes and withdraws his hands from me. He seems shy.

"It's okay, why were you hyperventilating on the kitchen floor?" He asks curiously. I bite my lip and frown. I was hyperventilating?

"I don't know." I answer honestly. Goldilocks stares at me, a frown plastered on his gorgeous face.

"Are you okay?" I nod, smiling.

"Yes, I was just.... Remembering some things." I tell him, standing up. He stands up too, patting my shoulder lightly.

"Take care okay? I'm going to go inform Viridis of what just happened." Goldilocks turns, stepping away. I lunge forward and knock him down to the floor.

"Please don't." I beg. I don't need Viridis fretting over me. He already does without trying. Goldilocks studies me for a second and sighs.

"Viridis is the oldest of us, I have to listen to him and inform him of strange happenings." I stare at him and groan.

"It's not really strange. Just please don't tell Viridis." I plead.

"Tell me what?" Goldilocks and I turn to see the green eyed dragon leaning against the door frame. I look at Goldilocks, biting my lip. He smiles at his brother.

"That Evander broke one of the cups when he reached for the cereal." I look at the fruit loops sitting on the counter and the broken cup on the floor. Viridis raised a disbelieving eyebrow at us. I kept a straight face.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." I gave him an apologetic look. He sighed.

"I smell something fishy here, but I'll let it go for now because I'm tired. I will be investigating." He glares at Goldilocks. Goldilocks smiles and shrugs. His smiles are so sincere and bright. How can someone smile with meaning? Most smiles I see are fake and forced, closing off the true sorrow.

"Okay, get some rest, I'll watch the place and babysit the cute Evander." Goldilocks beams at me excitedly. I grunt, suddenly feeling grumpy. He's like the sun, so bright.

"I'm not cute." I object. He shrugs, continuing to grin retardedly. Is retardedly even a word? If it isn't, oh well.

"We all have our opinions." Goldilocks replies, leaning down to pick up the glass from the fallen cup. I kneel down next to him and help him pick up the glass. He grabs a sharp piece, resulting in a small little cut on his index finger. The scent of his blood hits my nose. My fangs elongate and I clench my teeth. His blood smells so good. He brings his finger up to his mouth and his tongue flicks out over the head of blood.

Before I can comprehend what I'm doing, my fangs are in his neck and he's on the floor beneath me. He grunts, grabbing my shoulders, trying to push me off. I don't budge though. His blood is so.... Amazing. Orgasmic even. I want more. I tangle my fingers in his blonde hair and sink my fangs even further into his neck. He groans, his body trembling. Something covers me and I feel something on my cheek. I pull away, blood dripping from my mouth. I lap up the blood and gaze down at him. His wings are out and I can see his scales that cover the sides of his face, framing it beautifully. His scales are yellow. I stroke his wings, causing him to shiver. I lick my lips as I gaze down at him hungrily. He pants slightly, cheeks tinting red.
