The warm humid air changed instantly once they were inside the Mother Ship. It was cold and the atmosphere was fresher than the outside. A man wearing a lab coat smiled at them once they were inside some cold and quiet hallway of the ship.
Tabitha tried to pry from the monster's grip, but it was no use. Aaron glared at her and mouthed, "stop."
Tabitha relaxed, and just continued to allow herself to be dragged to where the man in the lab coat was.
"Well, well. Who do we have here? Meddling down the illegal waters of your world, aren't you?" the man in the lab coat said. The light of the whole hallway reflecting down on his glasses. Aaron glanced back at the entrance of where they came from, hoping to see Fiona and Danny's condition, but sadly, only the clear blue sky can be seen from the hole. "Well then, take them to the cells, we'll have a work for them once we've reached our destination." The man raised his two fingers and folded them quickly. The monster followed and they continued dragging the two.
They led them into a curved hallway. There were rooms that looked like prison cells lined up the walls.
The monsters dragged them inside a cell and for once, Aaron was hopeless.
Aaron felt the monsters push them inside a room with nothing but a bench tucked at the right edge inside. A dim red light illuminated the whole room. Tabitha was with him, although this did not help him feel secure at all. Tabitha was gasping for air, definitely not used to this type of environment.
He heard something crash behind him. He turned around and saw the cage door was sealed.
This cage was unlike the ones he'd seen in real life. The walls outside, which was only cut by the cells that lined the walls, were lined with green lines that glowed every after some interval, instead of bars, it was a glass pane with, almost not obvious because of the dim light, pinpricks for air circulation. Those were useless, the air was totally damp inside unlike outside.
There were no indications as to where the door was. It was now only a solid glass pane with no locks or even hinges that indicate where the doors were.
"I - I - I'm not even supposed to be here!" Tabitha said while sobbing. She sat down beside the wall and curled up herself. Aaron pitied her. That's when Aaron decided to comfort her. "I was just-- taming these plants as a gardener until some random person appeared and I, decided to be some unknown hero and was suddenly in his act of abducting people and whatnot."
"Look, I'm so--" He was cut by another series of strong sobs, then he decided to continue. "I'm sorry. And I'm not abducting people, I took Fiona with me because I had to. But look, don't worry. We'll find a way out of here, eventually."
Aaron patted Tabitha's back and gave her a warm smile. Despite the fear of what was about to happen for the both of them, he still was able to lift up her heart. Not long later she stopped crying and just slept on the creaking bed instantly.
Work, huh. Aaron thought what was to happen to them. Hostage? Slaves? Forced workers? Who knew. He stood up and tried finding a way to distract himself.
Aaron stood on guard waiting for anything to happen outside the indestructible glass panes. Not a single thing passed through the hallways. Aaron then got bored and observed his surroundings.
There were nothing except the dim red light that illuminated the hallways and the prison cell they were in. Opposite the glass wall was a huge symbol of what looked like foreign writing. Aaron thought of possibilities of what that could be. It could be a cell number, their name or what else. Under the dim light, there were no signs as to what time it was. Were they already there for that long?
