I saw Elijah run out of the cell room. This time, he had a sword in his hands. He looked at me and began to run at me. I had no choice but to get up quickly and run; despite all of the pain I was in. I took a sword from one of the statue knights that was standing against the wall in the hallway and ran. I was running down the long hallway once more with Elijah not too far behind me.
'Why are you running, Liam?' asked Elijah while laughing. He was breathing heavy from having to run.
He was always a really fast runner. As I was running, I was thinking to myself. If I wanted my throne back, what would I do? I can't just leave my people again. I didn't want to let anyone down; not even uncle Ranok or William. They would want me to stay and fight.
'GET BACK HERE!' yelled Elijah interrupting me from my thoughts.
I made up my mind. I led Elijah down a flight of stairs that led to the royal courtroom. I then burst open the palace doors and led him outside. It was raining hard. Thunder was blasting and lightning was flashing. I stopped in the middle of the courtyard. Elijah stopped not too far from me. We both faced each other. Elijah and I were breathing heavily. I had my hand over the wound. Elijah smiled.
'This is it, Liam! NO MORE RUNNING!' yelled Elijah.
I stood my ground and held my sword in front of me.
'You have nowhere to go. Stand and fight with what little energy you have!' yelled Elijah.
'I am not going anywhere. Your reign is over, Elijah!' I yelled.
He growled.
'You have caused people so much pain. It is time to stop! We don't have to fight each other. If you just give me the throne, you could rule by my side.' I said.
He growled once more and charged at me. He jumped in the air with his sword raised high and landed in front of me. Our swords came crashing together. I blocked his attack with my sword. We both flew back. Elijah charged at me again. He swung his sword at me and made a cut on my cheek and streams of blood began running down.
'Come on, Liam! Is this the best you got? This should be over quickly.' said Elijah.
Elijah ran at me again and our swords crashed together once more; sending us both flying back. I fell to the ground and Elijah ran up to me and stood over me. He put the tip of his sword to my face. He smiled at me.
'I guess I shouldn't have expected much from you.' said Elijah.
'What happened to Adeline?' I asked.
'I stabbed her, dummy! She wasn't supposed to save you! She is now lying in the cell slowly dying! She is probably dead already.' Elijah laughed.
'How could you? She is innocent!' I yelled.
Elijah looked down at me.
'Its time to end this right.' said Elijah.
Elijah lifted his sword as if he was going to strike me. I got angry and tripped him. He fell to the ground and I stood up quickly and had the tip of my sword to his chest. He looked up at me; surprised. His hair and clothes were all wet. The crown he was wearing flew off of his head from the fall and landed in a puddle of mud not too far from us. He also dropped his sword.
'As I said, your reign ends here, Elijah!' I yelled.
