The next morning, we made it to the gates of Asher. The gates opened and we proceeded to enter. The villagers where staring as we walked through the village to the castle. The castle gates opened and it was Ezekiel who led me into the royal courtroom. The army stayed outside. Ezekiel led me to the center of the courtroom. All was quiet. Ezekiel was standing behind me holding my arm so I wouldn't get away. Then, Elijah entered the room and was walking towards me.
'Welcome home, Liam! We missed you here at home.' said Elijah happily.
He came over to me and gave me a big hug. I looked back at Ezekiel who was rolling his eyes. Elijah let me go.
'Ezekiel! Why is he still tied up?' asked Elijah.
'So he wouldn't get away, your Highness.' said Ezekiel.
Elijah waved his hands.
'No... no... Liam is part of our family. Untie him at once!' commanded Elijah.
Ezekiel nodded and untied me. I knew I couldn't get away if I tried, so I stayed put. Elijah looked at me and smiled.
'Where have you been all this time? I was worried about you!' said Elijah.
'I was in Addon.' I answered.
Elijah gasped.
'Addon? But that is so far away! Why would you go so far away?' asked Elijah.
'So I could get away from you. I don't want you to find me. Is that why you sent Ezekiel after me? To be your prisoner?' I asked.
Elijah laughed and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
'Of course not! You are part of our family! I was just worried.' laughed Elijah.
Elijah let me go and took hold of my arm; he was leading me somewhere.
'Come! Let us enjoy the afternoon meal!' yelled Elijah.
He led me to the dining area and sat me down. Elijah sat across from me and Ezekiel was standing behind my chair; he was making me nervous. I watched as plates of food were brought out to us by the maidens. One maid brought out some soup for me and set the bowl down in front of me. She looked at me seriously. I didn't know why everyone was acting strange.
'I thought you'd like some warm soup after your long journey back home.' said Elijah smiling.
I looked down at my soup. It was chicken noodle soup. I was very hungry, but how could I eat when I was so nervous? I took a bite anyway. Elijah smiled at me and folded his hands. After I swallowed the first spoonful, I began to sweat. I took another bite. Then, I began to feel dizzy and light headed. I dropped my spoon on the ground.
'Is everything all right, Liam?' asked Elijah.
I put my hand on my forehead. I was breathing heavily and I felt like throwing up.
'Yeah, I just don't feel very good.' I said quietly and closed my eyes.
The next thing I knew, I was in a different room when I awoke.
'Where am I?' I asked myself.
I looked around and saw a cell door. I was in a prison cell. The cell had a small bed, a dresser, and one window to look out of. I was lying on the bed and tried to get up, but I couldn't. My hands were tied behind my back again. Elijah was standing in the doorway with his hands crossed. He came walking into my cell up to the bed I was lying on.
'Well, good morning sunshine.' said Elijah.
He sat on the edge of the bed.
'How do you feel?' asked Elijah.
