Before we hop into this story, credit to my best friend for writing this with me!! She doesn't have an account on Wattpad or any other fan fiction writing website, but when she finally gets one I'll give her a shoutout.
In the Voltron household, Lance, Keith, Pidge, and their Aunt Allura were all sitting on the couch while Hunk was in the kitchen cooking dinner. Coran, their valet*, was dusting around while humming to himself, and Space Dad Shiro was out at the grocery store.
Allura was braiding Pidge's hair, while Lance and Keith were fighting over the remote for the millionth time.
"Give me the remote!" Lance yelled as he struggled with Keith, attempting to yank the said remote from him.
"Over my dead body!" Keith yelled back, holding the remote out of Lance's reach, "I'm not going to watch one more episode of your stupid makeover shows!"
Lance was quite clearly offended. "They are not stupid! What's stupid is your mullet!"
Now Keith was offended.
"YOU-!!"
He took out his knife that he somehow always had with him.
Lance cowardly screamed and ran behind his aunt. "Aunt Allura! Keith's got his knife out!"
Allura paused braiding Pidge's hair briefly.
"Keith, you put that knife away OR ELSE..." She was getting tired of this happening everyday. And how in the quiznack did Keith find his knife again after she hid it?
Keith hurriedly put the knife away, remembering what happened last time. "Yes, Ma'am."
While everyone was distracted, Pidge sneakily grabbed the remote from Keith's grasp and changed the channel.
"We're going to watch what I want to this time!" Pidge announced smugly.
Both Keith and Lance groaned. "Nooooo!!!!"
Hunk heard all the commotion from the kitchen so he poked his head into the living room, holding a bowl of pancake mix. "What's going on?"
Three of them answered. "Nothing!"
"...Okay," Hunk said uncertainly as he made his way back to the kitchen.
"I'm going to my room," Keith said, even though he shared a room with Lance.
Everything was quiet for a while as Pidge, Lance, and Allura continued to watch the Harry Potter marathon that was on TV.
Coran started to hum very loudly, and it made it hard to focus on the movie.
"CORAN!" Pidge shouted, as she was getting tired of him humming all the time.
Coran jumped and dropped his feather duster. "What?"
"Your humming is annoying!" Lance told him, he was also really tired of Coran's unusual humming tunes.
"Hmph! Fine, I'll just go dust in the kitchen! Hunk doesn't seem to mind my humming!" Coran huffed as he stomped into the kitchen.
After Coran left, Allura spoke to Pidge and Lance. "You know, the only reason Coran stays is because I pay him."
Right after Allura told the kids that, Shiro came through the door.
"Hey everyone, I'm home!" he called as he walked in.
Using her "sweet voice," Pidge greeted her father. "Hey, Daddy!"
"Hey, Dad!" Lance said, running over to give him a hug.
Shiro returned the hug, then walked over to his sister and kissed her in the cheek. After kissing Pidge in the head, he rubbed Lance's head in a playful gesture.
"Where's Hunk and Keith?" he asked as he sat on the couch.
Hunk peeked into the living room. "I'm in the kitchen," he informed his dad.
"And Keith is in his room," Allura added as she finished up Pidge's braid, tying an elastic into it.
Hunk called from the kitchen. "By the way, dinner is ready! I made pancakes and bacon!"
Both Pidge and Lance scrambled over each other to the kitchen, Allura following behind as she laughed at them. Shiro headed up to Keith's room and gently knocked on the door.
"Keith, you in there?" he called.
Shiro heard nothing, so he opened the door. He found Keith sitting on his bed with his headphones on, probably listening to depressing music.
"Keith!" Shiro repeated.
He looked up and pulled off his headphones. "Yeah?" he asked.
"Dinner is ready."
"Fine..." Keith sighed, the song he was listening to was just getting to the good part.

At the dinner table, the Voltron family sat down together to eat their delicious pancakes, courtesy of Hunk.
"So, How was everyone's day?" Shiro asked as he took a bite of pancake.
Nobody volunteered, so Shiro turned to Lance.
"Lance?"
He shrugged. "Fine, I guess."
"Hunk?"
Hunk thought for a moment. "Uh...I baked..."
Shiro turned to Keith next. "And you, Keith?"
Keith threw the hood of his jacket over his head and pulled the drawstrings tight, hiding his face. Allura rolled her eyes.
"So...that means-?"
"It was fine."
"Alright..." Shiro quickly changed the subject. "So, what did you do today, Pidge?"
Pidge's fork stopped halfway to her mouth, flashbacks of secretly gambling online flooding her mind.
She smiled, "I played some games."
Shiro, unable to resist the urge, smiled back. "That's good."
After dinner, the Voltron family all sat on the couch trying to agree on a movie to watch.
"Why can't we watch Harry Potter?" Pidge whined.
"Because!" Lance argued, "we've already watched them all! Twice!"
"Why can't we watch The Shining?" Keith asked for the hundredth time.
"NOO!!" Everyone shouted, including Shiro.
"Last time we watched a horror movie, Lance and Hunk couldn't sleep for weeks!" Shiro reminded Keith.
They all continued bickering until Hunk made a suggestion.
"How about Narnia?"
Everyone fell silent for a moment, then they all nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, okay."
"We haven't seen Narnia in a while..."
"Sure, why not?"
So, they all sat together on the couch and watched all three Narnia movies until one in the morning.
"Alright everyone, time for bed!" Shiro announced while yawning.
All the kids grumbled in frustration as they got off the couch and went to their rooms, occasionally bumping into walls as they did.
"Make sure you guys brush your teeth!" Shiro called just as they walked into their rooms.
He heard angry moans from down the hallway as he said it.
