"So, Miss Taylor, what's it to be?"

"Do I have to decide right now?"

"No. You can think about it, but don't leave me hanging too long." He said with a flirty smile.

"I- I won't." I said, stuttering a little. Why am I still nervous around him?

He took a step closer to me, and then another step, and then a few more until he closed the gap between us again.

"Sa.." I said, but got stopped when he eagerly kissed me.

I didn't know what to do. Did I agree to what he was asking me, or do I say no? I can't deny the fact that I wanted him. But did I want it to play out this way? Honestly, no, I didn't. But a part of me is thinking that if it means I get to be with him, then why not just go for it?

But then there's another part of me screaming out not to do it, because then I'm tied to him and only him.

He slowly pulled away from our kiss and looked me in the eyes.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You can ask me anything."

"What exactly do I get out of this? I mean, I'll basically be at your beck and call. Won't I?"

"Yes. But what do you want out of it, because if you want it to turn into something like a relationship, then I'm not sure I can give you that Ellie."

I let out a sigh.

He placed a finger under my chin and lifted it up so I was looking at him. "What do you want out of this?" He asked again, putting emphasis on the 'you'.

I exhaled deeply, and then told him honestly what I wanted, and that made me make my mind up about my answer.

"I want you, Sam. I want to be with you, but I don't want to be tied to you with a contract. They're just words on paper that quite frankly mean nothing. So I'm sorry Sam, but no, I'm not going to agree to what you're asking."

In my mind, for me, that was the right decision to make. But at the same time, it meant that I wouldn't get to feel his touch anymore.

But just when I thought that it was all over, I felt him place his hands on either side of my waist.

"Sam, don't." I sighed.

Just as I went to turn away, he gently turned me around to face him.

"Never in all the time I've known you have I been more attracted to you."

"Wait... What?"

"Ellie, do you know why I came up with this idea?"

"No. Why?" I asked.

"Because in my eyes, that was the only way I could have you. If we were to have a relationship, I'd probably end up hurting you, and that's the last thing I want to do. So that's what made me come up with this idea."

"But why do you think you'd end up hurting me?" I asked curiously.

"Just trust me, Ellie. I don't want to get into why right now. But just know that I want you."

He looked deep into my eyes for what felt like minutes before placing a hand either side of my face and kissing me gently.

He didn't break away, he kept his kiss gentle, sweet and loving. He wrapped his arms around me pulling me as close to him as he could, and I let out a content sigh.

This was what I wanted, this was all I'd ever wanted. The fun and games are an added bonus, but ultimately all I want is someone who loves me for me and doesn't treat me like I'm nothing.
