Alzabar nodded
"It's nice to meet you Marcus--now. Why was I summoned?"
He paused after saying, befor continuing
"Revenge?"
He asked nonchalantly
"Um---no?"
Marcus replied, sounding a bit confused as why he would ask that, up until Alzabar asked something else
"World domination?"
Alzabar said, crossing his arms, levitating slowly above the ground once again.
"What-!?"
Marcus asked in shock, he was still getting used to having this strange demon in his presence. It was surely a new sight to Marcus. From the top of the demon's antlers to the bottom of his shined, perfect, black shoes. It was all so strange Marcus thought, until he remembered something he actually did need. Alzabar shrugged to himself.
"I can just leave if i was summoned for no reason."
He softly stated to Marcus. Marcus hesitated his next words, but reached out to Alzabar before he could leave and yelled,
"Wait! I do need one thing"
Alzabar glanced over his shoulder at Marcus and raised an eyebrow, keeping his arms crossed before turning around to face Marcus.
"What would that be?"
He asked, seemed quite curious, Marcus was about to answer before he saw a bright smile grow on the demon's face.
Marcus looked down, the smile made him uncomfortable, it was a little too wide for him, it looked...off. But Marcus just shrugged it off as he looked back up to Alzabar and said.
"Yes, I need this--"
He said as he pulled out his phone, showing Alzabar a book he wanted on Amazon.
"A book?"
The demon questioned, raising his brow again, he couldn't tell if Marcus was serious or not.
"Yes. This book."
Marcus said with a smile as he fixed his glasses up on his face and slide his phone back into his back pocket. Alzabar nodded.
"Do i get anything in return?"
He asked, even though he didn't exactly want or need anything in return from the kid.
"Umm.....A f-friend?"
Marcus hesitated and stuttered out. Alzabar stood there, slowly planting his feet to the ground.
"And who said i wanted to ever be friends with you?"
He said as his brow furrowed a bit at Marcus. Marcus tried to bury himsef a bit into his sweater hearing the tone in the demon's voice deepen with nearly every word in that sentence.
"Well--" Marcus started to say before he was cut off by Alzabar
"I don't want a friend"
He growled out.
"But an acquaintance would be appreciated."
He continued, growing another smile onto his face. Marcus calmed down as he saw Alzabar's smile grow back, showing he wasn't angry, at least he couldn't tell he was very well. Marcus nodded and smiled back, a more calm, nervous smile than showed before.
Alzabar wasn't the kind to break a deal or a promise, so he went and did his half of it and clapped his hands twice, making the book Marcus had been wanting appear out of thin air and into his hands, no questions asked. Marcus' eyes widened at the sight, he had seen nothing like it but wasn't going to to question it since he now had the book he had been wanting for a very long time now. He carefully grabbed the book from Alzabar and looked at it, completely flabbergasted that he was looking at it. It was a spell book. A legitimate spell book. From one of the monster's who lived beneath the tree canopy in the town of Baxol. Alzabar shrugged, as if it was no big deal. Marcus smiled very happily and brightly and hugged it close.
"This will help me a lot! And so can you!!"
Marcus practically squeeled as he looked back to Alzabar. Alzabar's eyes widened, since he wasn't paying attention with Marcus' little freak out moment.
"Help you with what?"
Alzabar questioned, not really paying a whole lot of attention to Marcus in general.
"To be able to befriend the monster's of course!"
He said happily.
Alzabar cocked his head to the side a bit.
"Befriend the monsters? They're horrid creatures! What makes you think you can befriend them!?!"
Alzabar said as though that was the craziest thing that had happened in that moment.
"Monster's have always been a part of my life when i lived back in the town of Baxol with my parents growing up! Yes, i am human. But i did make friends to the monster under my bed back in Baxol!"
Marcus said happily.
"You were friends with the monster under your bed?"
Alzabar questioned. Marcus nodded.
"Yes! He was oh so sweet, His name was Pip! Mr.Pip to be exact! A mouse with three eyes, wearing a suit, along with ears bigger than he could hold up to hide under! He could fly and hang upside down like a bat."
Marcus continued to describe the small monster under his childhood home.
"That was before they..my parents...insisted on moving..out of Baxol when they found out their was a hybrid as out neighbor.."
Marcus said with a small frown appearing on his face. Alzabar shrugged.
"I understand. So you want me to help you?"
Alzabar asked, crossing his arms once again as his ears turn to face Marcus, waiting for a reply.
"Yes!"
Marcus said happy, with a smile. Alzabar sighed and nodded.
"Ok--fine."
He softly obliged.
