Best Friends or Obsessed Friends?

I lied and told her we are planning to have a baby.
This was the test.
She told me a month later she was pregnant.
As I predicted, she had failed the test.

At this point we had decided to distance ourselves from them.

2016 we didn't speak. The only insight they had on my life was through social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

In the summer of 2017 they reached out, inviting us to their sons birthday which i attended alone. My boyfriend was not as ecstatic to rekindle our friendship with them due to the weird past experiences.

Although i was hopeful that maybe they had changed, i had kept them at a distance as i too was just as sceptical as my boyfriend of whether everything they did was to blatantly mimic our life or just a mere coincidence.

At this time we only ever spoke on the phone once in a while. Most of the insight they had on my life was through social media and lucky for them i posted daily.

I got pregnant that summer and mentioned that we were planning to move due to our new edition and the lack of space in our current house.

By the end of 2017 she had told me they had closed a deal on a house and are planning to move due to the lack of space.

Me telling her that bit of information had been the final test and like the first one she had failed yet again. I decided i would not continue to share anything about my life with her.
