The past few weeks have been hectic! Been hit by storms so it was hard to get a chapter up the past couple of days, cause sometimes my power would get cut off for long periods of time. And I'm the type of person who would just sleep when it storms, because when it does I'm always somehow alone and that's how I cope I sleep the day away.
But after my Nephews birthday I thought it get better, but I was proved wrong until technically yesterday as I'm publishing this at like 2am when the sun popped out and I felt safe to publishBut enough about my pettiness...
So without further ado.... I present Chapter Six
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Caspian found himself in a little pickle, scratch that, a big pickle. Surrounding him so he was in the middle of a circle, were Narnian's, each looking at him with so many different emotions but the one emotion that stood out the most. Anger and pain. Each and every single one yelling out their outrage.
"Kill him!"
"Telmarine!"
"Liar!"
"Murderer!"
Caspian just stood there, taking their outrage as he gazed at each and every single creature that surrounds him.
"All this horn proves is they've stolen yet another thing from us!" Nikabrik shouted out causing Caspian to turn and look at him.
"I didn't steal anything." Caspian shot back, annoyed that he was being hold accountable for the things his ancestors have done.
"Didn't steal anything?" A minotaur spoke up causing Caspian to look over at him. "Shall we list the things the Telmarines have taken?"
"Our homes!"
"Our land!"
"Our freedom!"
"Our lives!"
"You stole Narnia!"
"You would hold me accountable for all the crimes of my people?" Caspian asked shocked. But then again he really shouldn't be, it was because of his people that Narnia is no longer what it once was.
"Accountable..." Nikabrik scoffed as he made his way towards Caspian. "and punishable."
"Ha! That is rich coming from you, dwarf." Reepicheep said, causing everyone to look at the mouse as he made his way towards the two. "Or have you forgotten it was your people who fought alongside the White Witch?" He said pointing his sword at Nikabrik who flicked it away.
"And I'd gladly do it again, if it would rid us of these barbarians." Nikabrik spat glaring up at Caspian.
"Then it's lucky that it is not in your power to bring her back." Trufflehunter said, causing attention to turn to him. "Or are you suggesting that we ask this boy to go against Aslan or even Nala now?" After Trufflehunter finished his sentenced all of the Narnian's shouted out Aslan and Nala's name with hope.
"Some of you may have forgotten, but we badgers remember well... that Narnia was never right except when a Son of Adam was king." Trufflehunter explained.
"He's a Telmarine! Why would we want him as our king?" Nikabrik yelled, which caused some of the creatures to yell out in agreement.
"Because I can help you." Caspian said.
"It's a trick!"
"At least hear him out!"
"Beyond these woods, I'm a prince. The Telmarine throne is rightfully mine! Help me claim it, and I can bring peace between us." Caspian said as he spun around in a circle looking at each and every Narnian.
"It is true. The time is ripe." A male centaur said causing everyone to look at him. "I watch the skies... for it is mine to watch as it is yours to remember, badger. Tarva, the lord of victory, and Alambil, the lady of peace, have come together in the high heavens. And now here, a Son of Adam has come forth... to offer us back our freedom." The centaur explained.
"Is this possible? Do you really think there could be peace?" Everyone turned their attention to the tree and saw a squirrel. "Do you? I mean, really?" He questioned.
"Two days ago, I didn't believe in the existence of talking animals... or dwarves... or centaurs. Yet here you are in strength and numbers that we Telmarines could never have imagined. Whether this horn is magic or not, it brought us together. And together, we have a chance to take back what is ours." Caspian said as he held up Susan's horn for everyone to see.
"If you will lead us, then my sons and I..." The make centaur then pulled our his sword. "offer you our swords." This caused all of the weapon wielding Narnian's to pull out their weapons and hold it in the air.
Caspian couldn't help but to suck in a little bit of air, in surprise. He was not expecting this outcome.
"And we offer you our lives, unreservedly." Reepicheep said as he bowed.
"Miraz's army will not be far behind us, sire." Trufflehunter said.
"If we are to be ready for them, we need to hurry to find soldiers and weapons. I'm sure they will be here soon." Caspian said looking at the leader of centaurs.
Suddenly multiple gasp were heard and the sound of leaves scrunching up as feet hit the ground.
Everyone turned their attention and saw who they never think they would see ever again. Especially after the rumor that was spread about them.
"Your majesty!" Reepicheep exclaimed, bowing which caused all the other Narnian's to bow to in respect. Everyone minus Caspian for he had no idea on who the blonde beauty was before a flash of piercing blue eyes flashed in his head.
It was the girl from when he first encountered Nikabrik and Trufflehunter, though he looked at her confused. Why wasn't she there?
"So, this is the Son of Adam?" Caspian snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of her velvety soft voice. "Tell me, what do they call you?" She said as she stalked around him, circling him like he was her pray.
"Caspian." Caspian then gulped when she stopped in front of him, looking down at her because he was a foot taller then her.
"As in Prince Caspian the tenth?" She questioned causing Caspian to nod his head, gulping as she continued to stare at him.
"You're alive?" Reepicheep breathed out as he looked at the real Queen of Narnia.
"I was never dead. Only put into a state of sleep after I had fallen ill all those years ago." She said looking down at the mouse. "I know you may think that I have abandon you all those years ago. Trust me when I say this, I have and will never turn my back on my people even if I am dying." She then unsheathed her sword and held it out pointing it at Caspian who stared with wide eye at the female and at the sword that's in front of him. "I, Nala. Queen of Narnia will help aid you in your journey."
Caspian's eyes couldn't have gotten any bigger then they could. Standing in front of him was someone he admired, who he sometimes envisioned to see when his professor told him stories. But he never thought she was real, so as he got older the less he wanted to go out and explore to see if she was real. Now here he was, Prince Caspian is standing in front of the rightful throne to all of Narnia.
Queen Nala, the daughter to Aslan.
{ AUTHOR NOTES }
I must say, not really much of a fan of the end but I like it. Might grow on me 🤷♀️
But yay Nala's finally in the story and I quite like how I incorporated her into the story.
I swear if I'm not careful this might turn into a Prince Caspian LS instead 😏
If you guys have any suggestions, any at all. Please feel free to leave them in the comment section, or in my DMs
