Going to school the next day was among the harder things in life. Right next to it was trying to stop florian life from growing too big and causing the government to collapse entirely as they tried to afford enough for everyone's needs to be met.

Other than that, nothing else came close. At all.

Amaryllis held up her bully persona as she went throughout her day, taking out her pent up anger on people that were unrelated to her problems. This was pretty much how every single one of her days went, but today was especially weird because she couldn't help but notice Rick in every single one of her classes.

He kept staring at her and when she returned the look he would smile and wave.

It wasn't just this that bugged her. There was also something off about him now. Before they had been called to the principal's office to become part of the group of people that went around doing things for the good of the community he was just a shy nerd that never talked to anybody or did anything remarkable, ever. When he did eventually did do something, he had gotten called down to Mrs. H's office and ever since then he hadn't been the same.

Now he talked to people, and was actually good friends with Christopher and Baby's Breath. He went around talking about things that the old Rick never even expressed interest in, like the complex biology and science surrounding the worst viruses and parasites. He never talked about them with his freshmen and sophomore friends, of course.

As if his personality going from one extreme to the other wasn't weird enough for someone like him, the color of his hair and skin were getting lighter every day. Nerd Rick had dark blue hair and fairly toned skin, whereas new Rick looked like a ninety-year-old skeleton with hair.

Having him just staring at her through all of her classes was pushing a boundary that Amar didn't even know she had. Asking him to stop would be way too difficult, and would also completely mess up her perfect picture as the most likely to become a serial killer throne in the class yearbook.

Her own problems were put away after the horrible day was over, as Winston had called them to a little after school meeting in the janitor's closet to discuss something he described as "probably really important if what I think is correct, but if not it's still of some alarm."

"Alright, so," Winston began, turning the light to the closet on as they complied in, "I'm sure that all of you have noticed this, as it would be impossible for anyone to not notice the absence of him, but Pimpernel has gone missing. And he wasn't sick, florians don't get sick, I made sure of that while I was building the planet."

A quick question arose from the group, but Winston pushed it aside to complete the item of business he had called them to discuss.

"Last night, while Juniper and I were still in the warehouse, we noticed someone coming so we left as soon as we possible could. The thing that we saw going into the house was carrying a bag that had a living thing inside of it.

"Now, I know this makes me sound like I'm in some satanic cult because I know this, but the other me knows this as well: in order for the end of the world to begin to take place, he needs to take someone that has been inside that house of horrible memories and get their blood all over everything. That's why he said that most people that go into that house never made it out—he's been trying to cause Armageddon as long as he can remember."

Christopher, mostly, was at a loss for words. That is, except for that ones that came out of his mouth.

"Wh-what does the shedding of blood have anything to do with the end of the world?"

Winston turned to him before turning to the rest of the group again. "It shows that the magical forces of this planet are ready for everything to be ended. And if it isn't done by a certain time, the balance of the universe would be completely thrown off and existence would stop existing.
