"Good Morning everybody." My NCM103 instructor greeted us.
"I noticed the noise in our class, so I decided to make a seatplan." He added.
'Bakit naman sir?'
'Eish, bat ngay?'
'Ano tayo? Elementary students?'
All of us commented something as a disagreement.
We're all freshmen taking up BS Nursing. Kakastart lang ng midterms ng second semester, kaya siguro gusto ng Prof namin ng bagong arrangement.
"On the other class I even separated everybody two seats apart, but for this class, one seat apart only."
"Arrange yourself alphabetically, one seat apart." All of us grab our things and ready ourselves to be called
The boys are called first.
Then the girls.
"Next, Miss Palarca." My instructor called and pointed the chair where I will be seated.
"Courtney, Hindi ba dapat R?" Kobe asked after I sit on the chair assigned for me.
"Bakit R?" Our instructor suddenly asked curiously. Napalakas pala ang pagkakasabi ni Kobe.
"R for Ramirez sir." One of my classmate said.
I just ignore them, Courtney, ang landi, landi lang. Wag kang sumakay kasi pag nahulog ka. Kawawa ka.
"Akala ko ba si Miss Panayo?" Narinig ko pang tanong ni sir kay Kobe.
"Wala yun sir." Kobe answered. I don't know if he's pertaining to his relationship with Louise or he's saying that what we have is not a really serious thing. I have the feeling that its the latter.
So, Courtney guard yourself. I noted to myself. I know na nagstart lang ang pang-lalandi niya nung inasar kami ng tropa niya.
We have the same nickname, Koko for him and Coco for me.

"Kayo ni Kobe ah." My seatmate teased me.
"Wala yon." I answered.
"Pero sa totoo lang kinikilig ako sainyong dalawa." She said.
"He's dating someone, not me." I said
"Yes, I know that girl. Pero wala, mas may dating yung chemistry niyong dalawa ni Kobe eh."
"Girl, ang landi, landi lang. No strings attached. Lalo na't alam ko namang meron siyang dinedate." I said.
What I said is far from what I feel, I know that after the beginning of the teasing moments, alam ko namang unti-unti nahuhulog ako. Marupok eh.
"Hi Hon!" After having some talk with myself, hindi ko napansin na iba na pala yung katabi ko.
"Why are you here?" I asked with one of my eyebrows raised.
"Kakatapos ng return demo ko eh." He said with a wink.
"You're not supposed to sit here." Pagtataray ko.
"I just missed you." Malanding sabi niya.
"Ang landi mo." I said, but he just laughed at me.
"Are you done with your demo?" He suddenly asked.
"Not yet, I'm still waiting for my turn." I said. Kahit naman na alam kong landi lang lahat, I still know kung paano makisama.
"Do you want to practice it with me?" He asked.
"No need, I have my partn--." I suddenly stopped talking when I realized that Winter (My RD partner) is nowhere to be found.
"She's not here hon, I saw her talking with Prof. Kath earlier before I went here. Hindi mo napansin dahil ang lalim ng iniisip mo, ako na naman atah iniisip mo." He said with a teasing voice and pinched my right cheek.
"Okay, and by the way. Stop the endearment, and landi mo talaga." I said.
"KOKO KRUNCH LOVERS!!!". I suddenly heard and when I followed the voice, I think its Andrei, one of kobe's friend.
"Koko, dumadamoves na ah."
"Yiee, kinikilig ako"
"Ibang galawan na Koko ah."
That are just some of the phrases that I heard from the class. Some are yelling and smiling at us. And those who doesn't care are just looking at us.
"CLASS, IF ALL OF YOU DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE MINUS POINTS FOR YOUR ATTITUDES, KEEP QUIET. SOME OF YOUR CLASSMATES ARE DOING THE DEMO." One of our clinical instructor said.
"Hay nako." That's the only thing that I can say.
"Don't mind them, so start ka na?" He asked.
"Okay." Pagsuko ko, dahil after two students ako na ang next for demo.
"After checking the physicians order, I'll be preparing the materials......" I started talking while demoing the things that I need to do.
"Courtney, your next." My classmate said after she went out of the the curtain covering the hospital bed.
I stood up and walk to the curtain.
"Goodluck hon." He said (enough for me to hear it) when I am about to enter the curtain. With those words my classmates started to yell. I just rolled my eyes and enter the curtain.
Heart, shut up. Wag aasa, trip trip lang lahat.
I never had the courage to tell them to stop pestering me, dahil kung papatulan ko pa, baka mas lumala lang.
"It seems like Mr. Ramirez is interested to you." My CI (clinical instructor) said, while smiling at me.
All of our CIs are just like the normal instructors, may strikto at meron naman mababait, and I'm lucky to have the CI that is nice to me.
"There's nothing happening between the two of us po." I said politely.
"Whatever you say Ms. Palarca, you may start." And with that I started doing the return demonstration.

"Co, CR lang ako." Leighra said and went out the room. I also went outside the room to wait for her.
"Bye Courtney." Gelli said. She's one of my friends.
"Bye, ingats." I said while waving my hand.
"Koko, paalam ka naman sa misis mo." Matt suddenly said when he saw me outside the room. Dismissal na kasi.
Hayss, yan na naman
I just rolled my eyes at him. Bigla naman akong napatingin sa likod niya, at nandon pala si Kobe.
"Bye Hon. Uwi ka na agad sa bahay. Magsasaing ka pa." He said with a smirk and winked at me. Naghiyawan naman yung mga tropa niya at kaklase namin. Sinamaan ko lang siya ng tingin at naglakad sa kabilang direksyon which is papunta sa CR para piliing di ko sila makasabay.
"Leighra, where are you?" I said with a not so loud voice, enough for her to hear it even if she's inside the cubicle.
"Andito ako besh." I heard her voice inside the third cubicle.
"Okay, I'll just wait for you outside."
"Okay." She said in a sing-song tone.
After a minute, she already went out from the CR
"Bakit pala biglang umingay kanina?" She curiously asked.
"As usual besh, Koko and his troops."
"Kanina pa kayo ah, naririnig ko yung hiyawan kanina sainyo habang nagdedemo ako." Pang-aasar niya.
"Wala yon, alam mo naman diba? Masyado lang talaga nilang sinasakyan yung coincidence na may pareho kaming nicknames." And sana nga lang, hindi ako makarating sa point na seryosohin na.
