5. His Mate

My wolf is being restless for a while now. I tried every way to calm him. He is angry at me. The worst part is I dont know why. We went for running. I let him take control. He blocked me from initiating any conversation with him.
We both made a decision in unison in the past that we wont go after Alpha position and our mate. We wanted it both to happen naturally when the time comes. We never had any fight before. I always consider his opinions in every situations. I felt it odd when he just blocked . me. out.

Being in pack land for almost 2weeks is such a short period. Whole time is optimum used to complete some pending pack works.. Talk with warriors.... Solve some grievances..helping some rebuilding works...visit to the school... Etc etc

The Engineering groups will arrive next week to study and discuss about the reconstruction and renovations needed for the building and the safety and security of the whole property. The fencing around the property is broken here and there. CC cams are to be immediately placed until our warriors can guard the place. I used all these as an excuse to exit from here. I have already talked to Mike(Micheal) and my father. I dont want my mom to notice my eyebags due to sleepless nights.

We drove back to our property. I allowed Mike to drive. I desperately needed a nap as I found my wolfs momentary peace and I just dont want to lose the chance.
There was still left a half an hour drive to the property when I was kicked out of my sleep mercilessly by my wolf. He began to walk back and forth in my head. I want to snap at him but he blocked me again. Mike glared at me in disbelief.
"what man. What happened. Been noticing you for a while. You have eyebags and you didnt shave.... you have stubbles too..mind talking to me"
I rubbed my temples " I dont know. Its my wolf. He is freaking inside my head. I have done everything in my hand. He is not conversing with me. I am fed up"

He chuckled slightly and said"I thought you were going to use the 'f ' word....... "
I was serious and he was thinking about me not using the curse words... I glared at him. He got my look.
"Sorry.... Ok...I heard some warriors talking that our wolf began to act restless when we are about to meet our mate. I dont know if it is truth or not.. Like you I am too waiting for mine so.. "

I glared at him in disbelief " Are you serious Mike. Our wolfs must be happy in meeting their mates why freak out. Whats the point"

He became silent for a while. He must be thinking about the point.
"It might be because he knows you are going to meet her and you dont know. You know.... "
I stared at him in utter amazement. I sighed and leaned back to my seat. His attention went back to the road. But when I went further into the thoughts I found some value in his point....
We decided to stay at a hotel for today as it is already dark and I am tired....

I am a morning person....and my wolf today is an early morning person. Although he allowed me to sleep yesterday night , he woke me up around 5am. I decided to take a walk to the property. My wolf purred at my decision. He came to an agreement with me for the first time in a week.
The hotel was just a 10 mins walking distance from the land. I wore my track pants and black Tee and a pair of black track spikes. I had my watch and took my phone and send a message to Mike my whereabouts.
It was almost 5.45 am when I reached the gate. I got inside through the walk thru gate. My wolf really started acting like a pup and began to jump. I rolled my eyes.
'Do you want to run'
He said' no'
Finally we came in terms I wish....

We decided to take a walk. I have been to the east side of the land for just once. He replied for my thoughts 'lets go there'
I began to jog towards the east side. Its a treed area. We are thinking about an entrance over there. There is a road which will lead directly to the university. 30 mins driving distance. Whenever I enter this place, plans just pops up from nowhere.

My thoughts just pushed back without my knowledge when I inhaled a new scent which began to invade my senses. My heart beat rised.. My mind began to search the most feasible route to reach the scent..... Rose...no.. roses.... No... a rose field....like I am surrounded by a rose field. I looked around for a single bloom. I need to find it. Oh goddess 'She is here' my wolf said and 'I feel it' I said.
I ran past the woods. I wanted to move those trees to both sides so I could get a straight view directly to Her. Eyes meeting eyes.
But
The closer I was to her I felt it odd. Its different. Not one of US. Not a werewolf.
Just then I saw a girl's profile. My heart just skipped a beat. A human or werewolf...... Whatever...... Moon goddess blessed me with her... My Mate.
The empty heart of mine just got filled in with the sight... With just a single sight of her. I wanted to run to her. Pull her into my arms. Moving the hair from her face to the sides to have a clear view and immerse into her pools. My thoughts. I never had control over them. But in my million thoughts about her I never ever had a concept of her being different..... A human...

Hid behind a tree I saw her walking forward. She had her hoodie on her head that her face.... I couldnt see it. A glance of her face was all I wanted. Just to enhance my thoughts... My imaginations about her.
Years of experience of observing people around I could tell from her movements that she is not lost nor confused about the routes. She knew this place very well that she is not afraid either. She stopped suddenly. My heart raced when she removed the hood from her head. I was standing somewhat far right to her. She took a deep breath like inhaling the air. She began to look around and when she glanced at my side I hid behind the tree to cover myself. I gritted my teeth for losing the very chance to see her.

When I peaked from behind the tree she was not there. I came out of my cover. She is near.... The scent is still intact. I went to the spot where she was before. No I cant just let her go even without a glimpse of her. My wolf started freaking out.
Just hold on... She is here... Remember we cant just make an appearance as us. She is human. Let me handle this...

He calmed down. I inhaled her scent more to know the direction. She went forward. I began to run. None can beat me in a race in my both forms. I could see the trees getting rare to nill as it is now an open meadow with a single scarlet oak in the middle. I stared at the sight.
Mix of dark orange and red leaves and the brown shade of branches can be seen where the leaves are not fully covered. Leaves are there scattered under the tree above the green grass forming a bed of leaves. Scarlet oak is not a rare view but today as gentle as the rythm of my heart beat I found everything before my eyes picturesque.
My heart calmed down. I now know that there is no point in hiding. She could see me. I walked towards the scarlet oak as the enchanting scent of rose led me towards it. I could sense her... Hear her heart beat... Saw her fingers... her slender fingers she forgot to hide while peaking through the otherside of the tree trunk. My eyes softened with small smile in my lips. Inhaling more oxygen mixed with her scent. I took a stand at ease posture where I placed my arms across the chest keeping my face as cold as I can
I said with enough sharpness in my voice still it came out raspy "Hey I caught you. You can come out"

I heard her sigh.... I could hear her moving...
She came infront facing me. Eyebrows slightly upward...lips pursed and fidgeting with her fingers.... Her orbs into mine....her sea green orbs......

Finally they met.....
I know it was a bit dragging but trust me but all those chapters before are really important.
