It's time for break now and I am searching for my friends in the canteen.
When I finally find them there's no place for me anymore.
"I am not the one standing this break" I say. I hate it if everyone has a place to sit and I don't. Nate pats his leg as an invite and I accept the invite and sit on his leg.
"So is there any news?" I ask nobody in particular.
"Joss fell down the stairs" A guy in our clique says.
"In my defense it was wet" Joss says defending himself.
"Of course it was Joss" Gary says with an eyeroll.
"F*ck you Gary"
"Gladly" Gary says en Joss starts coughing.
"Guys!" I scream. "I am trying to eat here in peace".
"You didn't even start eating yet!" Gary says.
"I was going to" I say and grab my chicken sandwich, which I stole from my brother this morning, out of my backpack.
"Oh my god! You guys are never going to believe this" Heather says out of nowhere.
"What?" Nate asks and starts playing with my hair.
"There's going to be a new girl in this school! Like next week or something" Heather exclaims.
"Calm down girl" I say rolling my eyes. Maybe I should stop doing that. But I like it so I probably won't stop.
"We could use an extra girl in our clique" Heather says "Girl power".
"Firsly I want to see what she's like, Okay?" I say and look straight at Heather.
"Alright then" she says and starts eating her sandwich.
"I've got this new game. Anybody wanna play?" Joss asks.
"Which game?" Gary asks.
"I don't know what its called"
"I don't know why I am friends with you anymore" Gary sighs.
"Maybe you want somethin' more" Joss says with a grin. Gary looks at him as if he sees a ghost.
"Karma" is the only word Joss says and smirks.
"If you're not going to stop talking I am going to throw up on you guys!" I say.
"How nice of you" Gary says.
"I know right". Gary and Joss are also my 'friends'. They're less annoying than Heather so it's fine by me. Our clique is basically: Heather, Nate, Gary, Joss and me. Sometimes the other football buddy's stay with us. Gary snd Joss are best friends before they came in our clique. It was handy because in the beginning there weren't really awkward moments.
"But anyone wanna come?" Joss asks again.
"If you're going to talk like a normal person"
"I ain't normal" Joss says.
"I agree with that one" Gary says with a laugh.
"I'll come" I say. I've got nothing better to do anyway.
"I am in!" Heather says agigated.
"I've got something else" Nate says.
"What?" I ask.
"Dental appointment" He answers.
"Good luck" I say.
"Thanks"
"I am also not going" Gary says.
"I force you to" Joss says.
"And how do you want to do that huh?"
"You know that one specific photo when we were in the park?"
"You're not.." Gary says but Joss says nothing but just smirks.
"Fine then" says Gary and gives in.
