Chapter Nine

Katy's POV
Shawn got me a new bag and new supplies, considering my bag was still with Aiden's friend. Shawn excepted the invitation to Magcon and he invited me as well. I'm pretty sure he just wants to make sure I'm safe.

Shawn walks me to all my classes now, even if it means for him being late or leaving class early to come get me. Every time we walk out of any of my classes, we always spot one of Aiden's friends coming up to us and we make up an excuse to go back in a class. All my teachers know about the whole situation, so they're chill with me being a little late to class. Shawn's does too. Today was no different. Actually, it was. I got called down to the front office during second period. I nervously walked down the hallways. I sent a text to Shawn.

Me- I got called down to the office just wanted to let you know

I put my phone back in my pocket for a few seconds before it buzzed.

Unknown- Remember the deal. Don't sell out Aiden and we won't hurt anyone.

I stopped dead in my tracks, looking around. Who the hell was it that texted me and how did they get my number? I walked faster down the hall and finally got to the office, walking up to the front desk.

"Um, hi. I uh, I got called down."

"Name please?" He asked.

"Uh, Katy Jenkins."

"The principal wants to see you in his office."

"Where is that?"

"Down that hall, last door on the left." She said, pointing to a hallway on my right.

"Okay. Thank you."

"Just walk in, his door should be open."

I gave her a smile and walked down the hallway to the open door. The principal was sitting in his desk while a police officer was standing against a wall next to the door.

"Hello Katy." The principal greeted with a stern look. "Please come in." I took a deep breath and came in, sitting down in the chair closest to the door. The police officer closed the door and sat next to me.

"I'm officer Waller. Do you know Aiden Bowler?" I nodded.

"Yeah, i was his girlfriend."

"Can you tell me what your relationship was like?"

"Um..." i looked down at my phone to see the text still there. That threatening text. "It was, it was good-great actually." I said, looking up at them.

"Then why did you call the cops on him?" Officer Waller asked.

"I Uh, I was worried for his safety and my friend's. They were fighting for some stupid reason."

"From what I was told, you were crying and he almost killed you by strangling you. In fact, I can still see the bruises around your neck. What do you say about that?" I brought a hand up to my neck.

"I uh -"

"Katy, if you don't tell us what's going on or what happened, we can't help you." The principal said, leaning forward in his chair. I bit my lip.

"I-i Just-"

"Katy, did someone threaten you?" I nod. "How? What did they say?"

"He uh, he told me that if I spoke out against him, he uh, he would have one of his friends to go kidnap me and uh, and beat me to the brink of death, then he uh, he would.... he said he would bring in Shawn's family, one at a time and uh, he would kill them in front of me. Then he would bring in my parents and kill them, then he would kill me."
