A/N
Hey guys!!! So, I'm skipping through a couple weeks cause let's face it, it gets a little boring. I also don't know a couple things about Magcon, so just suck it up and correct me in the comments if you want, I honestly couldn't care less. Anyways, thanks for reading and hope all you lovelies have a wonderful day!!!! Anywho, back to the story!

Two weeks later
It was now the night before Magcon. Shawn and I were FaceTiming with our windows open, seeing that our windows were right across from each other, so we would ask each other if something went with something.

"Hey Shawn, what time are we leaving tomorrow?"

"Around ten in the morning."

"Are we going to school?"

"Ha, I'm not." He laughed.

"I'll come over tomorrow and just hang out."

"You should just come over tonight."

"I don't know."

"Your parents could care less about it, they're working the night again, aren't they?"

"Yeah. They always do."

"Then just come over! Please? You know you want to!" I laughed.

"Fine, I'll come over. I just need to pack two more outfits and a little bit extra."

"Oh. There's this private event and everyone has to dress up, so you have to wear a dress."

"Oh god, nasty."

"What?"

"When was the last time I wore a dress, Shawn?"

"I don't know."

"Since I graduated elementary. That was years ago."

"And now you're a junior."

"And so are you. But seriously, I do not have a single dress in my closet. It all consists of jackets, pants and shirts."

"Borrow one from your mom."

"Like I can fit into her clothes. She's taller than me and all her dresses are floor length on her which means the gems would be dragging on the ground."

"What if you wear heals?"

"I've never worn a pair of heels in my life."

"I'm sending my mom over to help you pick something out from your mom's closet. She doesn't wear anything but her usual outfits, does she?"

"I don't know, let me check what's on the calendar for the next two weeks."

Even though my parents don't talk to me, they always write what's going on in their lives on the calendar downstairs.

"Um... nope. She's just got a really big case going on for the next two weeks."

"How do you know it's big?"

"She underlined it four times. One is a really easy case, two is a neutral case, three is a big, but four is really big and hard. So even if dad had a party for her to attend, she wouldn't be able to go cause she's going to be working on this case."

"Do you know if your mom's been threatened by someone to take you guys away?"

"Oh, many times over."

"How do you know?"

"Every lawyers family has been threatened at least once in their career."

"Oh, fun. Have you ever been threatened personally?"
