Ziggy and Zaina were sound asleep next to each other on the bed. This was mainly because their parents weren't home yet, which always wasn't a bad thing. Ziggy moved around in his sleep and fell out of bed, landing with a thud on his side.

"Ouch!" He yelled out and accidentally woke up Zaina. She scooted to his side of the bed and looked down at him.

"Are you okay, Zig?" She said half asleep while wiping her eyes. Ziggy looked up at her softly, smiling while nodding,

"Yea, I'm ok Zaina, just fell out of the bed is all. You can head back to sleep, I'm fine now." He replied, standing up and brushing off his clothes and climbing back on the bed and slipping back under the covers.

Ziggy lay there next to Zaina and started singing softly. He let his voice fade out as he saw Zaina peacefully sleeping. When he sang it always calmed Zaina down so she could fall asleep. Ziggy lay there staring mindlessly at the ceiling thinking about their lives and when they were gonna get out. At that moment, Ziggy heard a car outside the house and instantly knew his parents were home.

Ziggy stayed in bed and closed his eyes pretending to be asleep. A few minutes later, his dad walks into their room.

"You awake boy, if you're awake and your faking it, i suggest you just open your eyes and just talk to me." Ziggy breathes slowly while staying still, feeling scared that if he opens his eyes that his dad is gonna hurt him. His dad huffs and mumbles to himself as he walks out of the room, slamming the door open. Ziggy relaxed a bit and calmed down enough to go to sleep.

In the morning, Ziggy and Zaine wake up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. They both changed into casual clothes and went downstairs to see what was going on. Their dad was standing at the stove, cooking and humming.

"Good morning dad." Ziggy and Zaina chime in together, standing at the counter.

"Good morning kids, your mother has already left for work so i'll be here until noon." He says, starting to plate all the food he had made.

"Go ahead and grab a plate and we can watch some cartoons together." Ziggy smiles at Zaina knowing this happy mood won't last long. These moments are always the best because they aren't being abused or treated poorly. They all finished eating and Ziggy offered to clean up the kitchen and put everything away. A few hours later, their dad has already left for work and their mom comes home.

"Good evening mommy, how was work?" Zaina says, running to give her a hug. They hug as Ziggy walks over and hugs her as well. Work was great, just very stressful, and tiring." She smiles and walks into the kitchen.

"Wow,it looks so clean in here did you do this Zig?" He nods smiling,"Yes I did after we ate breakfast this morning." Their mom smiles and sighs a little.

"That's incredible honey. I was hoping that everything would've been clean when I got home. Thank you so much." Ziggy smiles happily standing there.

"Mommy can I go upstairs and play now?" She stands there, waiting for an answer, patiently. With what has happened today, Ziggy starts wondering if this could be a reality or if it's all just a dream.
