Dani was sixteen and Daniel was seventeen when they got stuck in an attraction together. Dani didn't even wanted to go in any attractions at the festival. 
'Have you seen how they build these?' Dani asked Daniel. He was almost pulling her through the crowd. He looked like an exciting boy and Dani couldn't help but love that look on him. 
'I'm sure we can trust them. And otherwise: suing is also an option,' Daniel said with a playful grin. 

'Can't really sue anyone when I'm dead can I?' Dani said back laughing. 

'You're so right... Oh, look! There's the queue!' Daniel took Dani's hand and dragged her to the queue. It was only a small queue so it was only a matter of time until Dani and Daniel sat down on the chair that would soon launch itself upwards and downwards a few times in speed what Dani only wanted to see on a racing track. 

'You ready?' Daniel asked with a big smile on his face, just like he always had when he was with her. Dani was finding Daniel's hand and as soon as she found his, she intertwined it with his. She holds his hand tightly, which Daniel enjoyed a bit too much.
'I want to get off,' Dani said, looking at Daniel. 
'To lateeeeeeahahah!' Daniel's laugh filled Dani's ears as they were pulled upwards with high speed. Dani screamed as they went down and up again. The scream died when they stood still on the highest part. 
'Oh, oh,' Daniel laughed, enjoying this too much.
'Why have we stopped?' Dani said with a panicking voice. She looked back at Daniel who had an amused look on his face. Of course he enjoyed this.
'I think it's broken,' Daniel said, making Dani's eyes go bigger. 'Guess you were right to doubt these attractions,' 
'No don't say that!' Dani said as she holds Daniel's hand tighter. 
'Don't worry Dani. I'll be here to protect you when we fall down to the ground,' Daniel said.
'Daniel!' Dani laughed. 'Don't say that!'
'I just tried to distract you and now that you're laughing I guess I succeed.' Daniel said as he pulled my hand closer to him. I smiled at him, asking myself what I did to deserve this boy as my best friend. 

'Gosh, I love you,' Dani said as it was a normal thing for them to say to each other. Daniel smiled back at her.
'I already know that Dani. But I love you too,' Daniel grinned just when someone told us from the ground to hold on for a while as they tried to fix the issue that they had with this machine. 
'But I hate you for bringing me on this thing,' Dani said after the man on the ground was done talking. Daniel sighed as he laughed.
'Way to ruin our beautiful moment,' Dani and Daniel looked at each other as they were both smiling to each other. Even though Dani hated being this high off the ground, she felt safe. His touch felt safe. Suddenly there seemed a movement going on in the attraction. 
'I think they fixed it,' Daniel said and not long after we got down to the ground again in a slower speed than before. 
'See? That wasn't as bad, right?' Daniel asked immediately after they walked away from the attraction. Dani holds on to Daniel's upper arm as they made their way through the festival. 
'Are you really saying that to me now?' Dani asked as she rested her head on his shoulder. She pulled her head a bit upwards so that she could watch his face. He had a big grin on his face as they walked out of the festival and straight into the sand. 
'You can't tell me you didn't had fun,' Daniel said as he stopped walking, making Dani stop also. She removed her head from his shoulder and looked at him.
'I had fun,' Dani said as she slowly removed her hand around his arm too. She followed with her eyes her hand until her hand was back next to her body and she looked back to Daniel. 'Until you forced me to get in those broken attractions,'
'Ooh Dani, was that scary for you?' Daniel asked in a playful tone as he teased her. Dani laughed as she pushed his hand away before he could even touch her cheek, knowing that he only wanted to pinch it. 

'Shut up you Bogan,' Dani grinned.
'No, no, no! Tonight has to be only a fun night. I'll make it up to you,' Daniel said as he pulled his T-shirt off. Dani looked confused at him. Even more when he pulled his shoes and socks out.
'What are you doing?' Dani laughed again. He looked at her.
'Well if you decide to keep your clothes on, then so be it.' Daniel said with a grin that wasn't to be trusted.
'Daniel,' Dani warned him with a pointing finger to him. His grin got wider and with one sweep he threw her on his shoulder. 'Daniel!' Dani said while she couldn't help but laugh at his action that took her by surprise. The laugh disappeared when she saw the sea water.
'Daniel no stop!' she yelled as he walked more and more into the sea.

'Stop what?' he laughed. He stopped walking and for a second Dani thought he only wanted to scare her and walk back to the beach again. But it didn't take long until both of them fell in the water. Dani got her head out of the water and looked at Daniel with an unbelievable look.
'Oops, I fell,' Daniel said, laughing. Dani splashed a handful of water to Daniel before attacking him with jumping on him and him catching Dani. From afar you would think they were a couple, and secretly Dani wished that was the case. They played around with splashing water to each other face until they both got tired and walked out of the sea. Dani felt heavy with the wet clothes she had on. 
'I warned you about keeping your clothes on,' Daniel grinned as Dani was trying to get most of the water out of her T-shirt. 
'Warn me? You didn't really give me a chance.' Dani laughed. She got her wet shoes off as it felt weird to walk on them and fast enough her socks went off too. 
'Here, take my shirt.'  Daniel said as they got back to the place where Daniel left his clothes. Dani smiled and before she took the shirt she pulled her wet heavy shirt off. Dani could feel his eyes on her. She looked back at him and found his eyes. She looked at how he got closer and let his eyes move to her lips. Dani felt her cheeks go warmer as he got even closer. She waited for his lips to touch hers, but some yelling from further down the beach got us both distracted. It was Kurt en his group of friends that were yelling at them, cheering you could even call it. 'Here, put that on,' Daniel whispered as he looked back at Dani. She took the shirt from him and pulled it over her. The shirt looked almost like a dress on her. 
'You're shivering. Let's get you home,' Daniel said as he pulled his arm around her and lead her back to her house.
