° Epilogue °

Dani looked curiously outside of her window in her own studio. After Dani was done with school the last big project that she had to do to get her diploma made her first step into her dream career. She created a children's book after the next children's book. She was currently living her biggest dream and she never thought she could be as successful with her career as she was. She might have to thank Daniel for that too, as he, with all her books that she got to publish, went on and on about it on his social media. He was still in Formula One and he was being very successful now that he was driving for the Red Bull team. Dani was very proud of him and what he already had achieved. She was also glad that her job as a freelancer gave her the opportunity to work wherever she wants. It meant that she was going to a lot of races and stayed in Daniel's apartment in Monaco sometimes, but sometimes she prefers to be back in Australia, in Perth, where she also shared a house with Daniel and where she had her own studio to work on her projects.
'Minty look, the deliverer has arrived.' Dani smiled brightly as she talked to the cat that she was babysitting on for Finn as he was on a deserved holiday. Dani almost ran through her house and to the front door as the bell echoed through the house. She opened it and smiled at the deliverer. 'Hey Adam.' Dani smiled at the deliverer who had a big package in his hand.
'May I guess that it is your new book?' Adam smiled as he handed her the box. She nodded excitedly. Adam was a very nice guy and with Dani and Daniel ordering stuff online a lot or Dani receiving a few copies of her new books, her and Adam got a good friendship going on.

'Yes, it is. I'm so excited to see the end result. Can't wait for Daniel to see it too.' Dani told Adam.
'He's coming back today right?' Dani nodded. He was. Another season was yet again over which meant he was finally coming back to Australia. 'Tell him hi for me.'
'I will. And also, I'll make sure you get a copy for your young one.' Dani responded making Adam smile brightly to her.
'I will love that, she will love that too.' Adam said as he thought of his four-year-old daughter. Dani said goodbye to Adam and took the box with her to her studio. This way when Daniel got home it wouldn't be the first thing he was going to see. Dani put the box on her desk and Minty almost immediately jumped on Dani's desk to watch her open it with a lot of interest. Although it wasn't the same interest as Dani had. Minty was waiting for the box to be empty so that she could use it for other things. After Dani opened the box she took out one of the copy's in her hand and the corners of her lips started to curl up as she looked at the beautiful cover of her newest book, all inspired by Daniel without him even knowing about it. She went through the pages and if it even was possible her smile only got bigger. This might be her all-time favourite book that she published. She put the children's book on her shelf with the cover on display. She moved her other books a little bit to the side to make just a little bit more space for their newest sibling like she always does. Dani joked a lot about all her books were her babies. She took another book out of the box and decided to wrap it like a present to give it to Daniel when he got home. She closed the box carefully and put it under her desk. She looked over to the cat and shook her head.
'You got your own comfy pillow that Finn brought with him here for you to lay on.' Dani told the cat as she couldn't help but pet the little guy. She was sad that she didn't have a pet with Daniel. But it did make sense as it would be a lot of trouble to bring him everywhere or keep him with somebody else while they both were away. Maybe there was time for that later.

Two hours went by. Dani had gotten a text more than an hour ago that Daniel had landed and was on his way to get his suitcase and go home. From that point, Dani had sat herself down in the living room with Minty next to her and the present on the table waiting to be opened. With every car that drove past she stood up and looked at the window to then sit back on the couch and be disappointed that it wasn't Daniel. She would've picked him up, but the only reason she couldn't was because she needed to wait on this package that came earlier then she thought. And she really did need to wait on this package. It didn't matter anyway because Daniel had told her before that he was getting a ride by Sam. Finally, a car drove on the free spot of Dani's driveway. Dani stood up immediately and looked shortly through the window. The corners of her mouth started to curl up when she saw both Daniel and Sam get out of the car. Dani runs to the front door leaving a confused Minty behind. She opened it and looked outside before she runs straight into Daniel's back and hugged him from behind. She heard Daniel laugh and not long after he felt his hands on top of hers. He pushed her hands off of him, only so that he could turn his body around to look at her. This time he puts his arms around her and hugged her while kissing her head.
'Hey,' Daniel smiled. Dani looked at him and saw how tired he was from his flight. She smiled back at him and decided to kiss him. Not too long of a kiss because Sam was still standing pretty much in front of them.
'How was your flight?' Dani asked the two boys as Daniel let her go so that she could also give Sam a short hug.
'Pretty standard. You have to make sure I stay awake for the next few hours though.' Daniel said already yawning while getting his suitcase out of the car.
'Oh don't worry, I will.' Dani grinned, making Sam roll his eyes.
'Oh god, I do not want to know about this.' Sam laughed, making his way back to his driver seat.
'I didn't mean it in that way, Sam.' Dani said amused as she curled her arms over each other. Daniel walked over to her with all of his stuff.
'I wouldn't mind.' he said grinning. Sam got in his car as he shook his head to the couple. He waved them goodbye before driving out of the driveway.
'So how about that distraction that you were going to give me?' Daniel commented. Dani laughed as she gave him a short kiss on his lips.
'Funny, but I have a different present for you. So let's get inside.' Without saying another word Dani took Daniel's suitcase and pulled it with her inside. Daniel walked straight behind her and close the front door. Dani left the suitcase by the stairs, which Daniel did the same with his backpack. She took Daniel's hand with a big smile and lead him to the living room. Minty was still sitting on the same couch. Dani hadn't told Daniel about her babysitting on her friend's cat and it clearly confused Daniel.

'Is this the present? A cat? When did you get a cat?' Daniel looked confused at the cat but did walk over to Minty to pet him and sat down on the couch.
'That's not the present, that's Finn's cat. I'm babysitting for a few days.' Dani's eyes slide over to the table where her present was lying down on. He didn't even notice it. 'But if you look a little bit closer you might find it.'
Daniel looked around the room and then he noticed the present on the table. His eyebrows flew up and he looked at Dani. 'For me?'
Dani nodded and smiled as she sat down next to him on the couch. He picked it up and carefully opened it while Dani looked close to his face to pile his reaction.
'Woah! Is this your new book? Why didn't I know about this?' He asked as he looked at the cover and turned it to look at the back. Dani kept smiling. 'Wait... Is this me as a child?'
Dani nodded while Daniel started to smile and show his teeth. Her favourite smile.
'You made a book about me?' Daniel asked as he went through the pages.
'You like it?' Dani asked nervously. His opinion mattered the most to her.

'Are you crazy?!' Daniel responded. He looked very excited. 'This is amazing! I'm flattered.' He kissed her cheek and looked back at the book. Dani's cheeks turned bright red as Daniel kept on complimenting her about every page he turned. She was relieved that he liked it. She had worked so hard on this book to make it look as perfect as it could be because it was about the man that she thought was the most perfect man in the world. Daniel looked over to Dani and smiled brightly while he curled his arm around her and pushed her closer to him. He pressed his lips against the side of her head. At this point, both of them couldn't wait what the future had in store for them and to give a spoiler, the future was only getting brighter for the couple.
