Diana -the next day-
"you guys have to sit down. daddy will sit between you." i say as Jack lifts angel from the little crib thing. the boys sit down on the couch, leaving a big enough space for Jack to sit. he sits between them and holds angel in his lap.
"what do you think?" i ask.
"good job mommy." luca says. Jack and i laugh.
"she did do a good job, huh?" Jack says. the boys nod.
"what's her full name?" amber asks.
"angel nicole gilinsky." i say.
"gilinsky eh?" she asks quietly as they three boys start talking about angel. i nod.
"it suits her." she says with a nod. i smile.
"so dad. what do you think? can you handle this?" amber asks Jack. he looks up at her.
"i think so." he nods.
"can i hold her?" luca asks.
"i wanted to." ty says.
"here. both of you can hold her." Jack says, getting up. they scoot next to each other. Jack lays angel in their arms, but supports her head still. he squats down in front of them.
"he's got this." amber says softly to me. i nod with a smile. he does.

-a few days later-
"momma. chest time." luca says, walking into the living room. the boys have seen Jack doing skin to skin with angel and have been doing it too. luca hops up on the couch and i help him take his pajamas shirt off. i then go to angels swing and pick her up.
"remember how to hold her?" i ask. he nods. i set her on his chest and he almost immediately puts one hand under her and the other on her upper back.
"good job bub." i say, kissing his forehead. he smiles. i grab my bowl and cup and walk to the kitchen. the house is an open plan so i can see directly into the living room and see luca. but he also knows not to move. i set my stuff in the sink just as Jack walks into the kitchen.
"ty wants chinese food tonight." Jack says. i laugh and see ty go sit next to luca and angel.
"i wthink i do too." i say, leaning against the counter. Jack nods.
"i'll order it." he says and goes to walk away.
"hey Jack." i say. he turns around.
"thank you. for everything." he smiles.
"just doing dad things." he dusts his shoulders off and i roll my eyes playfully. he laughs and walks off. maybe this could work as a family.
