Third Person POV (Hiccup)
Hiccup lay next to Astrid as he stared at the now barren stone on the floor of his room. He knew it was for the best, after all, he knew that Toothless' connection to Hiccup is what was getting in the way between the relationship between Toothless and the Light Fury.
Hiccup sighed before rolling onto his back. He glanced to his left to see Astrid sleeping peacefully. He smiled softly. After all, if the roles were reversed Hiccup was positive that Toothless would have done the exact same thing for him.
The thought made him chuckle. He imagined Toothless attempting to give flirting advice to Hiccup.
Astrid stirred in her sleep. Hiccup immediately went still, only to hear the sound of heavy breathing again.
Hiccup felt a tear role down his eye. He felt happy but at the same time sad. He knew that Toothless had his own people, his own tribe so to speak to take care of.
Then Hiccup realized that Toothless might have kids now. He and Astrid had two, a boy, Nuffink, and a girl, Zephyr. He smiled more tears rolling down his eyes as he thought about how he would never get to congratulate Toothless.
Hiccup rolled back on his side and stared at the rock before falling asleep with his face stained with tears.
