Five years passed and Bobby couldn't believe how time had flown. He had been raising JB for these five short years and although he tried his best not to, she was a hellraiser. He knew it. The family knew it. The entire town knew it. You didn't fuck with a Mercer, but especially not the baby JB Mercer. Bobby wiped down the bar till it was spotless.

His business, Rough Mercy, was his second pride and joy after JB. He planned to leave the bar to JB when she got older if she ever wanted it. Thanks to the business with the construction Jeremiah had won a government bid for a facility and that had brought a ton of new work to the town. From there the town continued to flourish. Didn't change much besides giving those who wanted to stay in the town after school more options for employment.

Adele a smart old red headed woman walked in with a stake of papers. "Bobby, I need more hands. Your family's paperwork is starting to get to be a bit much." She said as she took his papers and put them in a black file. Adele had lost her husband three years ago and without his monthly income from retirement she had do the one thing she had not done in almost ten years. However no one would hire someone so elderly who could barely make her way around. At first she was the nanny for the Mercer children. However one day while they were having family dinner the talk of getting a trusted accountant came up. Hearing their talk Adele had offered her services for free. Bobby had tested her out. Then when he saw she made a better account than a sitter he found someone to drive her around to each of their business, got her personal insurance, and paid her well.

Adele had lost her daughter a few years back and was raising her three grandchildren on her own. Adele had been grateful to the Mercer's for giving her a chance. She was eternally glad that she had ignored the town talk and went to them. Thanks to that decision her grandchildren and her lived comfortably in a five bedroom and two bath home. She made more than enough to pay her bills, spoil her children and still set something to the side.

"I'm working on it Adele, however, you know how this town is. It will be hard." Bobby said and Adele nodded her head. The Mercer's take care of the people under them however the town had always kept their suspicions even though they had changed drastically.

Bobby's phone rang. When he answered it was the principle at the elementary school. The twins and JB were sitting in his office for fighting. "I'll be there soon Principle Martin." He only said. "I gotta go. Have Janey drop you by the restaurant for lunch. Sofi made butter cream pie for your family." He said to Adele even as he was calling Angel to meet him at the school.

Adele reconsidered her thoughts. Some things change. Not all. The Mercer's were and will always be trouble.

"Who they fight this time?" Angel said as he hopped out of his towing truck. He must not have been at the shop to be driving that around. Bobby could see a few oil stains on his clothes however that was nearly an everyday thing so he ignored it.

"No clue but Martin says that JB started it and the boys helped her finished it." Bobby said and Angel clenched his teeth. JB was a hellraiser for sure but she only every fought for a reason. Unlike her cousins you had to really have done something for her to attack first.

Bobby and Angel walked in the principles office. The boys stood instantly when they saw their father. Angel Luiz and Arturo Carlito had their mother's Spanish tan skin and their father's soft brown eyes. At four years old they were also slightly taller than other kids their age. The Mercer family was strict with their education. That is the reason they had been able to enter elementary a year early. They had a few scraps nothing serious. Bobby wasn't worried until he realized that JB was not standing. Before he could go near her Martin intervened.

"Mr. Mercer I have had more than enough with Jacquelyn. Her, Angel, and Arturo are absolutely trouble however she is the leader. Not a day goes by without her being put in time out for something. This simply must stop!" Martin exclaimed drastically to make a point. Bobby wasn't really listening. Martin was a drama queen and because of this Bobby did not really like him.
