Twilight settled upon Kakariko Village, and the stars were huge and bright. The moon lit up the scene like a large, silvery torch in the sky, and a warm breeze wove through the grass.

It was perfect, I thought. The most beautiful, awe-striking night was upon us, and it was amazing. I sat on the top of the hill where we had seen the Blupee, taking the wonder of the evening in.

It had been a few weeks since we had arrived at Kakariko. I had made friends with some of the young children residing there, and the whole village was starting to grow on me. It was peaceful and joyous, and I loved the feeling of security and safety.

Many people were interested in the King, but he spent most of his time in the inn, writing to friends about what had happened to the castle. Zelda hated it there, and wanted to get a move on. She said we should be doing something useful, not just sitting around in a village. Whatever.

The Champions and I were the main center of attention, for many people living there had not seen races like us before. The children asked many questions about the Zora. "Do you eat fish?" "Do you drink water?" "Can you breathe underwater?" I answered all these questions patiently, not insulted at all. I knew they were only curious children.

Almost nobody paid attention to Link, but he didn't seem to mind. In fact, he seemed relieved. I knew the feeling. But recently, I felt like I had been opening up to people more. Maybe it was because I was happier, I thought.

Now I sat staring into the woods, hoping the Blupee would appear again. I had tried to forget about the odd creature, but it felt wrong. I felt like I needed to see it again, and I wasn't going to ignore my instincts. I never have.

Just when I thought I saw something rustle the bush in front of me, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around and saw Link, looking down at me.

"Hello," I smiled.

"May I join you?"

"Of course." I watched as he sat on the ground beside me.

"Are you looking for the Blupee?" Link asked, peering into the forest.

"Yes," I answered. "How did you know?"

"You seemed interested in it." Link replied.

I smiled, and after a minute of silence, I talked again.

"Who do you think it is? The Blupee?"

"I don't know," Link answered. "It could be anyone."

I nodded, and we sat in silence. That the center of our relationship. Silence.

A silence that spoke volumes.

Suddenly, the bushes rustled. I smiled as the Blupee hopped out, looking around. It didn't see us, so it continued hopping around the small clearing.

"I'm going to go up to it." I whispered, standing up. I crept silently through the bushes, keeping my eyes on the Blupee. I got about a foot away from it before it saw me. I froze, expecting it to run away. Instead, it just sat there, looking into my eyes.

Slowly, I reached my hand out to it. It kept staring at me, until I reached it. I stroked its head. He was soft like feathers, and somehow warm and cool at the same time. It illuminated a blue glow onto my hand, and I smiled.

Suddenly, it hopped away. I expected it to disappear again, but, when it reached the front of the thick undergrowth ahead, it stopped and turned back to look at me. It seemed to say, Aren't you coming?

"Link!" I called. "Come in here!"

Link ran up to me, staring in awe at the Blupee. "It sees us, but it's not running."
