"What's it like out there?" Taehyung had leant his head against your shoulder as you both sat on the tiled roof of his tower, his hand was intertwined as it usually was these days and you watched the sun disappear behind the horizon. His hand slipped out of your grip and you watched him reach a hand out, the golden sunlight collecting in his palm before that too disappeared, "I want to see it."

You turned to look at him, his gaze was focused on his palms as if searching for something he was unable to hold, that was until you noticed the faint glowing in his palms, "what's that?" His hands snapped shut and he grinned at you.

"Can you bring me back some wild flowers? I like throwing the seeds from the roof," Taehyung laid on the warm tiles, stretching his legs out and rolling into your side and wrapping his arms around your waist. The duality of the boy was hard on your heart; cute and almost childlike one moment and the next, he'd have you all hot and bothered.

The tiles were unsteady under your feet as you stood up, walking unsteadily towards the balcony, before turning and smiling at him, "get your own wildflowers."

With that you jumped down onto the small ledge and walked into the house to start putting on the fire, flint cutting into steel as you tried to light the dry wood you'd collected earlier that day.

In the morning you would leave the tower, you didn't tell Taehyung what you were doing, usually because there was no agenda apart from to make him lonely enough to follow you. You knew he was becoming tempted, his loneliness was palpable and it would overwhelm you if you deemed to stay in his tower, lounging around for the day.

Today you had left early, before he would be able to wake up and beg you to stay because in the end you knew he was not missing you, but the presence of someone in his house. It hurt to think that just as you felt yourself belonging somewhere it would be taken away again, walking through the forest and into the small town your chest felt heavy.

It was late afternoon when you strolled into one of the villages on the cusp of the forest, having enjoyed a walk mapping out the woodland in your head. It was an old habit to know an escape route when you entered somewhere and with the tower, you felt it would be safe to get to know the small pathways like the back of your hand. As well as managing to wild flowers and picking them to place in a paper book and return to Taehyung later, you wondered what kind of expression he would have when he saw all the new types you were going to bring him.

The growl of your stomach had been what had forced you into the village and now as stood inspecting some apples in a market store you watched two soldiers stroll past. Maybe it was the way they barging each other in the side, like children, when they saw you watching them or something else but there was an odd air of familiarity about them. That was until one spoke and you realised why, "I'm Jeongguk and you must be mine."

Laughing slightly at his joke and the way he leant into you with a wink, you inspected the boys in front of you, more muscular than Taehyung and just as entrancing. You turned to the smaller of the two and bit into the red apple you had been holding before throwing it to Jimin and smirking, "and you must be Jimin, Tae's told me all about you two."

Both of their eyes widened in temporary confusion and just as Jeongguk raised a hand to grasp your wrist and question you on how you knew who they were, the shopkeeper noticed the bitten apple in Jimin's apple and started to shout about the stealing not being excused.

Slipping into an alleyway you produced another apple you had swiped and began to eat it, wondering what Taehyung would think when he discovered you were not as noble as you might seem. Although, he probably had an inkling that you had been lying to him about being an apprentice knight, when you were able to scale his tower without a rope.
