"Ew!" Taehyung yelped as he watched the frog hop across the breakfast table, landing atop an apple and staying there until you picked him and placed Namjoon on the floor. But Taehyung was still busy complaining, "he's eaten with us the last few days! It's gross!"
The table was full of delicious food and you looked down at Namjoon, waiting for him to hop into the garden like he usually did after messing around with Taehyung and the other princes. However, today he stayed and then hopped up onto your lap.

You flinched at the idea and pushed him off your lap, wiping the slime off your hands before going to eat your breakfast again. The thought of sharing your food with a frog, regardless of it being Namjoon made your nose scrunch in disgust but then Namjoon hopped onto your lap again.

Without thinking you picked him up and threw him out of the window, the thud you heard made you realise you had missed as you turned to find Namjoon sprawled on the floor. His long green legs at odd angles and instantly you leapt out of your chair, "no!"
You scooped him up in your hands, cradling the cold body and watched Namjoon glare at you, his round yellow eyes staring at you, without blinking, "I'm so sorry Joonie-" Slowly you leant down, lips pouted and pressed a delicate kiss to his head.
"Y/N that's gross!" Taehyung yelled but there was something else worrying you, Namjoon's body was getting hot. You dropped him as it felt like his small body was burning your hands and jumped back when a cloud of smoke appeared.
This had never happened before and you fell to your knee, "Namjoon?" you yelped, reaching into the fog and grasping a hand, "Namjoon!" You felt like a child again, waking to find your room darking and screaming until Namjoon would run in and tell you that you were safe. Just like then you were pulled into his chest, his hand stroking your head as he shushed your yelling.
Slowly you opened your eyes and found a bare golden torso in your vision, Namjoon's voice was croaky as he looked at you and pressed a quick kiss to your lips, "the kiss of true love will break your spell." He repeated the fae's words to you and your heart sped up because all this time your true love had been right in front of you.
"I'm sorry I never noticed!" you yelped and Namjoon laughed, pressing a kiss to your forehead, "I should have told you how much I loved you." You sighed and leant into Namjoon's arms, feeling safe with them wrapped around your figure, "I've missed you so much Joonie."
