A Week with Gray and Juvia- a Gruvia story

Time To Go On A Mission (Tuesday)

It's late morning and the guild was strangely quiet. Why was that? Oh, right. There hasn't been a fight for an hour. Why was that? One of the key fighters wasn't there that day. Natsu must've noticed because he was clearly moping.

"Ugh...!!!" Natus groaned. "Where did ice prick go?" Lucy who was sitting next to Natsu rolled her eyes. She was actually enjoying the peace and quiet that rarely visited the guild hall as were all the other members of the guild, well until Natsu ruined it.

"Is your brain so dense,"

"Hey!"

"- that you can't remember what Gray said just yesterday?" Lucy said with an exasperated expression. Natsu had a confused look on his face.

"Umm... what did he say, Luce?" Lucy facepalmed.

"He said he was going on a mission with Juvia today..."

" Gray-sama, do you want to do a job today?" This was yesterday at the guild hall. Juvia was sitting across from Gray watching the chaos around her while looking at Gray. Gray shrugged his shoulders.

"I donna know." Juvia gave Gray a look.

"Really, Gray-sama? You haven't done a mission for a while now." Juvia stated. Gray had to agree with Juvia. He couldn't seem to remember the last time he went on a mission.

"You haven't paid the rent for days now, we're running out of food, and frankly Gray-sama, your magic has gotten weaker." Gray's eyes widened. He DID forget to pay rent, he's eaten a lot more at home than he used to and- wait. He gave Juvia a bewildered look.

"Juvia, did you just call me weak?" Juvia just shrugged.

"Juvia believes it's true. Juvia's magic power is higher and she hasn't gone on a mission for weeks now. But she has trained." Gray looked deep in thought. Suddenly, Gray got up and walked away. Juvia was pushed back. 

"Gray-sama! Where are you going?" A few seconds later, Gray came back with a paper in his hands.

"Come on, Juvia. We're going on a mission." Juvia smiled. Gray left Juvia where she was sitting and went over to where Lucy was watching Natsu scarf down food. Gray went right up to Natsu

"Yo, flame-brain. I'm going on a job with Juvia and won't be back till tomorrow. Got it?" Gray informed. Natsu just nodded his head and went back to stuffing his face with food. Gray went back to Juvia and the two of them left the guild. 

3 hours later

Gray and Juvia stepped off the train and walked to where the job said to go.  They seemed to have arrived in a small town. Gray knocked on the door. It opened up and it revealed an old man with a cane. Juvia cautiously confronted the old man. 

'Welcome." he said. "You're from Fairy Tail, correct?" Gray and Juvia nodded. The old man grew a smile. "Good. I needed two mages to help with a special task. In return, I will reward you with 200,000 jewels and a magic enhancer. All you need to do is get rid of the bandits that have troubled this town." Gray shrugged. Seemed simple enough. They stepped outside where they were immediately attacked by 4 thieves. Gray smirked. Within 30 minutes, all the bandits were down for the count and gladly accepted their reward. Getting on the next train back to Magnolia, Gray, and Juvia made it back to the guild hall the very next day.

Just then the two of them walked into the guild. Natsu jumped up and confronted Gray.

" Ice- princess! Why didn't ya tell me you were leaving!" he yelled. Gray scowled at him.

"If you were paying attention to what I was saying, ya would have heard."

"Are you calling me dense, perverted stripper?"

"Yeah, I am, Pyro!"

"Ugh, you two never change! And it was finally quiet too!"

Hello, my dudes! I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday. Something big came up (that wasted a lot of my time) and I couldn't post this part. I hope ya liked it.
