Harrys POV
Harry awoke the next morning refreshed. He hadn't slept that well in a longtime and it felt good to not be exhausted. He had slept in a bit and Ron had already gone to the common room. Probably to meet up with Hermione.
Harry went to his trunk and put a maroon t-shirt on, it was a tighter shirt, Harry preferred shirts that way. Bending down once again Harry pulled out some black jeans with some rips. He quickly blew through his morning routine, his hair a lightly managed mess per usual, and he was ready for the day.
He rushed out of the boys dormitories and found his two best friends in the common room, arguing per usual. Hermione was trying to convince Ron that he needed to start studying with her after breakfast. That was never gonna happen, Ron did less work than he did. Harry rolled his eyes as he came up behind them tapping Ron on his shoulder. They all said their good mornings and were some of the last Gryffindors to leave the common room.
Ron and Harry were rough housing all the way to the great hall with Hermione watching them carefully from behind with a smile even though she kept scolding their behavior. They stopped as they neared the great hall so that all eyes wouldn't be on them and their stupidity. The trio were some of the last people to take their seats as they sat in the middle of the Gryffindor table next to Neville, Luna, Ginny, and Lavender. Ron purposefully sat next to Lavender while Harry was forced to sit in-between Ginny and Hermione.
Showing as little interest in Ginny as possible, hoping to make his lack of attraction to Ron's sister obvious, Harry turned to Hermione and listened to her conversation with Luna. Thats when he caught sight of platinum blonde hair. Harry had to stop himself from staring at he boy sitting with his friends at the Slytherin table. Shaking his head in a effort to get these thoughts out of his head Harry grabbed a piece of toast and an apple and decide to eat outside. He walked out of the great hall after telling his friends he needed some air.
Harry walked down the familiar corridors until he came across one of Hogwarts's many little courtyards. This one happened to be his favorite. No one really came to this area so it was silent except for the trickle of water in the fountain. Harry took a seat on one of the benches and ate his apple slowly while thinking about Draco. He just needed time to clear his head.
Draco's POV-
My friends were discussing upcoming classes and what the year may bring. I could barely concentrate on their conversation though. My Dothraki blood was telling me something was wrong and when I looked over at the Gryffindor table I realized what it was. Harry was no longer sitting with his group and Draco spotted him near the great hall entrance. He looked tense and upset and it wasn't hard to tell something was up.
Draco hated seeing Harry upset and he knew that he couldn't hold back his feelings any longer. Excusing himself from breakfast he quickly grabbed a glass of milk and a banana. Making his way to the great hall entrance he just followed his feet, his Dothraki blood pulling him towards his mate. The Slytherin was sweating and he had never felt so nervous in his life.
How in hell was he supposed to explain this without sounding insane. What if Harry rejected him? As far as Draco knew the Gryffindor boy felt nothing but hate for him. I guess what ever happens happens. If he was rejected he would fall into a depression spiral so his life would literally depend on Harry's answer.
As Draco was thinking all this information over his feet had brought him to one of the castles little, abandoned courtyards. He quickly hid behind a pillar and peered around slowly to watch Harry. The sun was glinting off his hair making him look like a Greek god. How was a teenage boy so gorgeous? Draco didn't deserve Harry as a mate, he was definitely gonna get rejected.
Emerging from behind his pillar, he decided to man up and leave his newly started stalker career behind. He walked slowly into the garden and tried to be silent so the he didn't interrupt the other boy too much. Draco sat down on the bench beside Harry, who seemed like he was in a completely different world. Tapping him gently on the shoulder, Draco turned to face him as Harry was brought back to this earth. The boy shook his head a little bit and looked shocked to see Draco there
"h h hey Draco, what you doing out here, not many people know about this place." Draco loved his voice so much, he could listen to him talk forever " I followed you out here, you seemed upset and I wanted to see if I could help plus I have some stuff to tell you" Draco thought that was a pretty chill reply even though it came out kinda rushed, at least he hadn't embarrassed himself yet. "oh, well I'm fine thank you, I just am thinking about a lot of stuff. What did you need to tell me?" Harry asked, still looking a bit shocked. 'Here goes nothing' Draco thought to himself.
15 minutes later Harry sat there with a shocked face. Draco had fully explained his Dothraki blood and heritage and explained what Destined mates are and then proceeded to tell a very pale Harry that he was his destined and that Draco was happy that it was him. When Harry looked upset Draco had quickly said that he would understand if Harry didn't reciprocate his feelings and that he knew he wasn't good enough for Harry anyway.
Draco decided he was gonna give Harry a couple minutes because he was understandably having trouble processing everything. I mean who wouldn't have trouble processing that their classmate in another house was a Dothraki with a soulmate and that soulmate happened to be Harry and that Harry might possibly be gay.
........All he could do is wait for Harry's answer.
