Virgil's POV:

Roman always asks me, "Virgil, do you want to watch a movie with me?" Or "Hey, Virgil, do you want to hang out with me?" And I always say "No, thanks, Princey. Maybe some other time. I'm busy today." And he always smiles and says, "Oh okay, Virgil. Maybe some other time." But the thing is that I'm never busy. I literally do nothing with my life. And it's not that I don't want to hang out with him. I do, I truly do! I'm just afraid to slip and accidentally tell him that I'm in love with him.

I get up and walk downstairs to eat breakfast. I sit down at the dining room table and Princey sits next to me, a big smile on his face. I roll my eyes and smile back. I honestly don't know how one can be so happy in the morning.

"I made pancakes, kiddos!" Patron exclaims. "How many would you like, Roman?"

"Three please," Roman says. "A prince must have his appetite sufficed before he goes off to his duties!" And of course, he always has to be extra.

"And you, Virgil?" Patton asks.

"Just one please," I say. "I'm not very hungry." I feel as if butterflies are preforming some ballet in my stomach. Something like "The Nutcracker" or "Sleeping Beauty."

Patton smiles and puts a plate of pancakes in front of Roman and then me.

"Logan!" Patton calls. "Breakfast is ready!"

I butter up my pancake and pour syrup on it, all of us waiting for Logan to come down.

"So, Virgil," Roman says through mouthfuls. "Are you doing anything today?"

Say yes, say yes, say yes, say yes, say yes! But I don't feel that word slipping out from between my lips. Instead, I say, "No. Why?"

Roman then smiles even brighter than before, if that was possible. "Would you like to watch a movie with me? It can be a film of your choice."

"Sure." What am I doing???!!!!! I'm supposed to say yes I'm busy, not no I'm not busy! Goddammit! Now i have to go to his room, watch a movie with him, and act like I don't like him! Actually I don't like him. I LOVE HIM! I can be so stupid sometimes.

Princey smiles. "What would you like to watch, Virgil?"

Butterflies dance around in my stomach and heat rises to my cheeks when he says my name. Goddammit, I hate being in love!

"Uhh...ummm..." Wow, good job, Virgil. Already panicking at a fine time like this. "How about... Nightmare Before Christmas?"

"Yeah. I love that movie! How about we watch it after breakfast?"

I nod. "Yeah. That works."

We finish our pancakes and rinse the syrup off of our plates. Then we head up to Roman's room. We sit on his bed and I wait as Roman puts the movie in. Then he shuts the lights off and we both lay back on his bed, enjoying the film.

"Which one do you like more?" Roman asks. "Corpse Bride or Nightmare Before Christmas?"

"Nightmare Before Christmas."

"Why?"

"Because the ending doesn't piss me off."

Roman chuckles. "Why does the ending to Corpse Bride piss you off?"

"Because Emily and Victor don't end up together."

"Ohh, you're one of those."

I look over at Roman and cock my eyebrows. "What do you mean 'I'm one of those'?"

"You're a weirdo who thinks that Victor and Victoria don't belong together."

I look back up at the screen. "That's because they don't. Emily and Victor do."

We start arguing back and forth about if Victor and Victoria belong together or if Victor and Emily belong together. Of course, it's Emily and Victor. Roman is just stupid. (Stupidly adorable)

The movie starts to come to an end. Jack and Sally stand up on the hill, the beautiful moonlight shining down upon them.

"Hey Virgil," Roman says.

"Yes?"

"I...really like you."

I smile. "I like you too. I- I love you."

Roman smiles back. "I love you too."

And just as Jack and Sally kiss, so do me and Roman.
