- Monika's father and mother aren't strict like Yuri's mother or Natsuki's father, but they aren't entirely carefree like Sayori's parents either. They both maintain a pretty good balancr of both.
- Monika's father works and usually only comes back home late in the evening or night.
- Monika's mom is mostly a stay-at-home mom, but she does a side job of doing freelance work such as helping in writing articles and stories. She will often go to a fellow co-worker's house when they are both free and just work on things together or just hang out. They're both pretty good friends.
- Monika's mother introduced Monika to literature and both her parents encouraged her in her passion for literature.
- Monika's parents will occasionally remind Monika to focus on her studies or spend more time outside, or at least do some type of exercise or sport indoors when Monika isn't doing anything. They do not allow Monika to refuse. Well, it's not like her parents have to force her anyway. Monika does everything willingly. This is why Monika is very studious and good at sports.
- The family trusts and loves each other very much.
- The family love going out and doing things together like eating at a restaurant or watching a movie in the theater.
- Monika's family wholeheartedly support LGBT. Monika actually came out to them and they both support and cherish her.
- Monika's parents are always encouraging Monika to get into new things.
- The family owns a mixed-breed dog they rescued from the shelter. They also used to have another dog, a cat and a hamster but they all passed away from old age.
- The family is vegetarian but don't mind if other people eat non-veg with them.
- Monika's parents trust Monika and don't worry about her too much. It isn't as if they don't care, but they believe Monika knows what she's doing. If Monika were to bring a boy (or a girl) to the house, they'd trust Monika, but if they personally didn't feel themselves liking Monika's boyfriend or girlfriend they'd start asking Monika quite a few questions, just in case.
- Monika is an only child, but is quite close with her cousins. They occasionly come and visit.
- Monika's parents favorite out of Monika's friends is Sayori. They love how cheerful she is. They like Yuri and Natsuki too, but feel as if Yuri is too shy and distant and that Natsuki is a little brash.
- Debating runs in the family.
- Fights and arguments don't happen that often. However, when they do they turn into heated debates.
