What hasn’t started
Will start on an end
I guess
The dream of filling the empty story
Fades instantly
Should’ve known
Still I am glad to at least see you
But sad to see the way you look at me
Or was that a stare?
Of what?
Nonrecognition, maybe
Should’ve known
Hearing you mumble out words of explanation
Somehow rings a happy symphony
But you not saying
At least a greeting
Saddens me
Should’ve known
I bid goodbye to the place
Seeing no you in those smiling faces
I stepped out with a painted smile
Bringing the should’ve known whine
Heaving a sigh
While clearing the things I made up in my mind.
