How Are Things?

Lou ran out to the shop to buy some milk and other things so I could make us pancakes. We all know that I'm the better chef here, so I told him that if he wants proper food, he can get the ingredients himself since I do everything around here. I'm a bit worried about him though, he has his ring on.. I told him to take it off, just until he gets back, but he wouldn't. I don't blame him though, he's really happy about this happening. We're planning on coming out soon, we have to talk to management about everything.. Not completely sure how that's going to go though.

I put the plates and cups on the table, along with the cutlery beside the two. Louis has been slowly sneaking his stuff over to my house. Like, one day he'll bring an 'over night bag', except it's full of his clothes. Then he puts that in my dresser and sneaks all of his shoes over.. I'm waiting for the day when he tries to sneak a chair in. Wait.. Since when did I have that couch? How the hell did he..

I hear the door open and I eagerly look towards it, spotting my beautiful fiancé.

"Hello, darling. Back with the milk?" I ask in a posh voice, hoping to win a small giggle out of him. Which I do.

"Yes, babe. I also bought a bag of chocolate chips and flour, we have the rest, yeah?" Louis asks while he takes the ingredients out of the shopping bag.

"Perfect, baby. Thank you for running out." I stand up off the couch and shuffle over to him, wrapping my arms around his waist gently. I lean in and kiss him softly, smiling against his lips as he kisses me back. I am so in love with Louis. He does so much for me, I couldn't ask for anyone better. Because there is no one better for me than him.

"Hey, erm, Mark? Yeah, Louis and I wanted to talk to you about something."

Mark is the head of our management- in case you didn't know. He decides on what goes on with the band, and his co. workers, or his 'minions' as Louis calls him, agree with his every decision.

"Yes?" He asks. I clear my throat then attempt to sound courageous.

"Louis and I are engaged."

There's a long pause. A few little mumbles on the other line, but that's it.

"Okay. You really put us in a tough situation, Harry. We'll have to think of something, so hold on for a moment." I look over at Louis and take his hand that he had placed on my knee. He smiles, but I can tell he's nervous. So am I.

"Alright, we've decided." Mark starts to speak and I can already hear his regular cranky voice with a pinch of irony. Disgusting. "You can either just carry on like we normally do, or, you could just quit the band. Both of you."

This man doesn't know what love is. He knows evil though.

"We're not quitting the band, not when millions of people look up to us. You can't have One Direction without Louis and I, that's not going to work." I say, clearly unimpressed with his answer.

"So the first option? Good choice. Just carry on like normal." Mark, I will throw a brick at your face.

"No." I say, trying to finish what I was saying earlier. "We are not just going to carry on with our lives, pretending to date people, acting like strangers, it's childish. Louis and I are happy together and if you can't see that, then I suggest you find a new band to manage."

"Cute speech." Mark chuckles, the smirk on his face obviously present. "But that's not the deal that we made four years ago."

"Exactly. Four years ago. Our contract said four years." I growl through the phone.

"Well, now it says five. Then it'll say six, and on and on until there is no more One Direction."

"What the fuck kind of manager are you?! I should be reporting you to the police for all that you've done to us. You've tortured us, controlled us, and tore up our hearts. The least you could do is brighten the hell up! Although, I doubt that would work because you're pure evil." I spat. Honestly, what kind of person would do such a thing like that? Prevent ones love to a person they admire everything about. That, is bullshit.

"Harry, you're really starting to annoy me here." Mark says after a short pause.

"Oh, I'm starting to annoy you? Huh. That's funny, because I was just thinking the exact same thing about you. You're a faggot who doesn't care about anybody, and I'm a good guy who cares about my fiancé."

"Right." Really? That is all you have to say to that, Mark?

"I'll do it."

I look over at Louis confused.

"You'll do what, babe?" I ask him. I don't know why, but I'm a bit nervous to hear what he has to say. Louis hasn't talked throughout this entire interview, he tends to over think sometimes.

"Quit the band." He says. No. You did not just say that, Louis, no.

"Baby.. That's a bit too much, isn't it?" I ask, trying to convince him to say. "You love being in the band, boo.."

"I do." He says simply. Why isn't he tearing up or anything? Louis hates when I see him or anyone sees him cry. He's really good at keeping his emotions in. Louis covers the phone then leans over to me. "If I quit, we can be together. I have a lot of money, I won't need a job for at least a year so I can travel with you and the lads, then once we give everyone some time to adjust to us, I'll just join the band again." Wow.

"That is actually a really good plan. But are you sure it'll work?" I ask in a hushed tone. He nods then kisses my cheek.

"Let's just give everyone some time to process this, we'll have our private little wedding, then we'll come out. How's that sound?" Louis asks. I couldn't have said it better myself.

"Perfect." Okay, all we need now is someone stupid enough to believe this.. Louis uncovers the phone and I clear my voice to get Mark's attention.

"Louis' going to quit." I say confidently. I can here one of the 'minions' mumbling to him on the other line, along with the noise of rustling paper before Mark speaks.

"Alright," He says. "It's official. Louis' out."
