Apparently, Quon, Yugo, Zac, and I all fell asleep on the same bed.

I wake up and we're all practically on top of each other. It's awkward. I smack Yugo's back to wake him up. He rolls over and lands on Zac's hair, waking him up. Zac's squeak of pain is what wakes Quon up.

It's quite the chain reaction.

"Good morning!" Zac sits up, already full of energy.

"Morning," Quon says, waving his hand around to show that he's awake.

I snicker.

"Nngh..." Yugo groans and rolls over again. He rolls right off the bed. He lets out a cry, and lands with a loud thud on the floor.

I laugh right out loud at that one.

"Oh dear!" Zac leans over. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Yugo gets up. He rests on his knees on the floor, with his upper body leaning over the mattress.

Zac looks at all of us. "The hotel has a breakfast bar! Is anyone hungry?"

I'm one of those people that isn't hungry right when they wake up. It takes me a while before my metabolism starts and makes me feel hunger. Yugo, however, jumps right up. "I'm starving. Let's go."

So, that's how we end up going down to the breakfast bar first thing after awakening. Quon looks so tired that he's ready to face plant into his food. I'm ready in case he does so. I'm ready to catch his head as it falls.

Oh, wait, that sounds like he's being beheaded.

Whoops.

I can't think of any other way to word it, though.

The news is playing on a TV screen in the corner of the room. You can't hear it over the talking, so the closed captions are on. However, the captions don't line up with their mouths at all. The captions are delayed by a full ten seconds. I read them over and over as if the news people are repeating themselves.

It's the Beyblade News, on the WBBA network. They're talking about the continental tournaments starting soon. It's hard to believe that the nationals are almost over already. It feels like they just started.

I have a feeling I'll never be good enough to make it even close to the world league. Being on the Sword Flames is probably the closest I'll ever get to tasting sweet victory. Xander's made it to the world league before, but he's in the Supreme Four. Of course he's good enough to make it there. Then again, Valt made it last time, too...

The WBBA News is talking about the Japan nationals. Understandable, since it's WBBA Japan that we're watching. However, they are talking about a few Bladers outside of the country. Namely, the best ones in the world. They're also talking about banned stuff, and illegal things that were legal before.

It's quite interesting. Nobody should have to come right out and say that shining a laser pointer in someone's eye while they're launching is illegal, but here we are, and that's what they're talking about.

Gee, I wonder who did that?

Sometimes, the WBBA News gets kind of, well, stupid. I remember the one time they just talked about Lui for a solid hour and about his likelihood of reclaiming his title. Either way, news is news, even if it's super boring.

"Ukyo! I asked you something!" Zac says.

"Sorry, what?" I actually look at him. He's smiling, his eyes are glowing. At least the question probably isn't too serious.

"Where do you want to go from here? We could head to the WBBA, but I think the bakery sounds nicer. I've been craving some of Valt's Bey bread all week."
