"I, hereby, declare Wonderland and Auradon, in alliance, for now and forever."
Ben announced to the court, signing his name on the treaty before handing the feather pen to the Queen of Wonderland. She smiled, taking it and signing her name elegantly with a little heart at the end. Everyone was in the room, including Fairy God Mother and Ben's parents who Artemis had sent William to bring here to witness the union - as well as a few specified others that Evie and them had asked for. She had also invited her parents back with a letter, but she hadn't heard back from them yet.
"And, of course, the Isle," Artemis gestured to Harry and Uma, Harry smirking at the blonde and Uma nodding. "You guys are welcomed here anytime you please."
The court erupted in applause and Artemis giggled excitedly while Ben smiled in accomplishment - the sound died down as Ben's parents came over to the two of them. "We're so proud of you, Ben," his mother smiled, her arm looped through her husbands.
"Yes, we've been trying to form an alliance with Wonderland for years now," Ben's Dad, Adam, added, looking over at Artemis.
"Now, you have," Artemis nodded, hesitating. "However..." she continued and the former King and Queen shared a quick look. "My mother had an alliance with the Isle in place first and I won't force anything, seeing as Ben has already started the integrating process, but maybe we should uh, speed it up a bit?" She quirked her eyebrow, her tone questioning, but her gaze demanding.
Belle and Adam looked at their son curiously and when he nodded, they smiled. "Of course, we'll have the next group of children brought over at the beginning of the new school year."
"And we plan to bring more than four this time," Ben added, turning to the blonde. "Maybe about... ten."
"Six," Belle corrected and Ben looked at her.
"Eight."
She opened her mouth to argue, only for her husband to cut her off, "eight. We can work with eight." Ben and Artemis smiled at that.
After a few more minutes of conversation and negotiation, she excused herself to go over to Harry who had distanced himself from everyone else. Amusement dancing in his eyes as he watched Matt and Alison talk away to Uma and the Sea Witch tried desperately to sneak away, but to no avail. He learned the hard way you had to set them straight or they'd never shut up.
His eyes, however, were all for Artemis as soon as she walked over to him. "Hello, love," his arms snaked around her waist, holding her against him, where he was leaning against one of the tables that lined the walls.
"So, I was thinking..." she began, looping her arms around his neck. "Since the looking glass is in the Isle, maybe you could stay a little longer." She posed it as a statement but he could hear the question in her voice. "It'll be easy to go back and forth, unlike in Auradon, to visit."
