"Your ex?! oh my god, do you wanna get out of here now since she hasn't seen you yet?"

"It's alright, with the crowd like this, she probably won't notice me and i'm back facing her too. You have already ordered food, we should have it while it's still hot!"

"Are you sure about that..."

"Yes Chloe, i'm fine."

The two of them indeed have quite a few similar interests like swimming, fashion and guitar playing; no wonder Sarah wanna play matchmaker for them. They were busy chatting with each other and didn't realize Jul is just a table away from them, clearing the used cups and plates on the table. She heard laughters and looked up, she saw Val with a girl who is one of the regulars, she felt uneasy and her heart ache suddenly, she wanted to walk away but her feet brought her to Val.

"Hey Val..."

The both of them who were laughing away at their silly jokes suddenly stopped laughing when they heard Jul's voice. The both of them looked up with their flabbergasted face, "Errr Hi Jul... this is Chloe." Val gestured towards Chloe, Chloe smiles at Jul, this is gonna be awkward... She didn't know that Val's ex will be working at the cafe that she usually patronize, it was too much of a coincidence, now she started to regret for bringing Valentina here, she suppose to make Valentina forget about her ex but instead...

"Is this your new girlfriend?" Jul can't control the words that are coming out from her mouth and she immediately regretted shooting that question to Val. Val looked at Chloe, hopefully Chloe is gonna forgive whatever she is gonna do next. Val reaches out for Chloe's hand and looked at Chloe dearly, "this is our first official date together and clearly i'm enjoying it." She smiled at Chloe, Chloe didn't hesitate too, she planted a kiss on Valentina's cheeks causes the two of them to blush abit. Jul cannot stand the sight of the duo, "well i'm happy for you... if you would excuse me, I have more tables to clear." she walked away with a tray full of dirty cups and plates towards the kitchen. Val is still holding onto Chloe's hand, Chloe clears her throat and then placed eye on their hands, Val quickly retreats her hand with a hint of embarrassment and she apologizes. "I'm really sorry I did that... I didn't mean to, please forgive me."

"I know you had your reason to do it, it's ok I totally understand it. I kissed you back so it's a win-win situation, we have got nothing to lose here."

Val jokingly punches Chloe on the arm and causes her to flinch, "how dare you punch me? you are gonna get it from me..." Chloe pulls Val into her arms and start tickling her, Val struggling to escape from Chloe but failed miserably. Val surrenders by tapping on the table a few times before Chloe releases her, they both laughed at themselves for being a kid all over again. "I'm happy that you are laughing again despite your circumstances. You know you can always look for me if you need a good laughing fit."

"I'm thankful that you are being so patience and gracious with me, Sarah did a great job for introducing us to each other, I should thank her properly."

"You wanna head back now? I could walk you back to your apartment if you don't mind."

"We definitely need more time together, how can I say no to your offer?"

With that, the duo left the cafe for Val's apartment, even held their hands on their way out and still laughing away. Jul witnessed the whole banter between the duo, she took off her apron and told her manager that she isn't feeling well, if she can knock off earlier since her shift will be ending in an hour time. Her manager agreed to it and let her go off so she went to the backroom, clocked out her time card, grabbed her stuffs and left by the back door.
