Okay KelliQ, your wish is my command.
I should warn you, this chapter is not from the book.
Enjoy!
Lori's alarm woke us up at six in the morning.
I heard Lori get up and move around the room.
I got up shortly after.
I changed out of my sleeping clothes and into jeans and a t shirt.
Lori and I fixed getting ready then we headed down stairs for breakfast.
My mum made us pancakes and eggs.
Shortly after, we left for the bus stop.
Loir told me all about her school and friends in the fifteen minute walk to school.
We reached the bus stop and only a few kids were there.
Loir waved to a friend of hers and he waved back.
"Theo, this is my soon to be step sister Jenny, Jenny this is my friend Theo,"
"Nice to meet you," I smiled.
Theo grinned at me. "You're British?"
"I am" I giggled.
"Awesome,"
I laughed. "Are Americans all like this?" I asked.
"Yeah,"
The three of us talked until the bus came.
*****
Just like Lori and Theo had said, Americans are all the same.
They all wanted me to talk, just to hear my bloody accent.
It got quite trying.
Other than that, my first full day at Willow Grove Middle School was a good one.
My teachers all seem nice and the students are so kind and welcoming.
On the bus ride home Theo and Lori did most of the talking.
I looked out the window at the different houses that passed by.
We passed a little area where there were just trees.
Beyond the trees, I spotted a house.
From what I could see it looked tattered and abandon.
"Hey guys?" I asked.
"Yeah?"
"Is that a house?" I asked.
"Yeah, no one lives there anymore,"
"Why?" I asked.
"It's hunted," Theo said.
"No it's not,"
"Yes it is," they said together.
"There's even a story about it. I'll tell you at home,"
"Okay," I muttered.
I looked back out the window and sighed.
I wanted to know more about this hunted house in the woods.
