Not So Bad

Chapter four - Why

Nico's pov
I walk into the apartment and almost puke and cry at the same time here was Paul cut in two, I decided I need to call the police but then asked Clarisse because she couldn't come in after seeing Paul I walked into the kitchen to see Percy holding his mum and sobbing.
"Percy do you want me to get some of your stuff" I said softly trying not to scare him . I felt so bad he has had to go through so much today and every day . The fates really hated him because here he was drenched in his mother's blood holding her dead body.
"Yes please she left her recipe book in her room and blue cookies on the counter." He replied through sobs
"Did you get to speak to her before she died " he only nodded and I decided it was best to leave him till I got his stuff .
I soon heard sirens. Finally the police are here. I thought while I finished packing I pick up a few pairs of clothes the recipe book ,a photo album and his favourite nemo toy Jason got him for his birthday.
I walked through to the kitchen to get the cookie as the police walked in Percy still holding his mother mournfully.i walked over to the officers to explain the situation
"Hello officers" I greeted
" what the he'll happened here"
I then explained that me and Clarisse had taken Percy to see his mum and we found this when we got here and I told Clarisse to phone the police.
When Percy found his mum she was barely alive but he got to say his goodbyes and held her until she died.
One of the officers looked like she was going to cry.
Over all it was a tough morning especially trying to get Percy to let go of sally he screamed kicked and punched but Clarisse picked him up and threw him over her shoulder nod walked out the apartment.
I made arrangements with the police and gave them my number to get in contact with them (Leo made monster proof phones) and told them I'd help arrange a funeral.
By the time I was finished and went outside Clarisse was carrying Percy bridal style while he slept looking at him now was heartbreaking the poor boy had been through so much he needed a break maybe after the funeral I'll get the seven (apart from AnnaBitch) reyna , Clarisse and will and maybe all go to Greece or anywhere to take a break. Help Percy get back on his feet again.
We shadow traveled back to Thalia's tree knowing Will would have waited there all afternoon to shout at me but as I get there I saw him and his mad look changed to worry the fact Percy was sleeping covered in blood.
"Nico what happened , is he hurt?" He stuttered will never stutters he must be really worried.
"Sally's gone, died in his arms" I said looking down trying not to cry. Everyone knew and loved sally she was a welcome guest at camp half blood despite being a mortal, she cared about everyone even if she didn't know them. Some summers she would come and help out at camp with swimming lessons for campers who were younger or just never learned. She helped the Demi gods who woke up screaming with nightmares. Them being calm as soon a they were held in her motherly embrace. She truly was wonderful she even helped Will to get me to eat more and now I eat three meals a day and a few snacks. Percy was so lucky but now all he has is camp and Poseidon.
We took Percy to my cabin getting some horrified stares as they saw the young hero drenched in blood.
Clarisse payed him on the spare bed telling me to let him sleep. So I put down his bad turned of the lights and went to tell Chiron the news while Clarisse told me she wanted to guard him why i have no clue but maybe she was just worried.

Percy's pov
I woke up begging for it to be a nightmare but the blood on my clothes told me otherwise. Why did she have to go she was the pure essence of good. She loved almost every living creature and after all Gabe put her though she stayed strong but now she's gone. Haven't the fates had enough toying around with me I fought my wars I've lost so much and now the person who has been with me through every till the very end has been ripped away from me.
I don't want to be here any more and I don't mean camp.
I want to die
