Bahja
The fire department arrived along with the police to the house as quick as possible. They wouldn't let me leave, they claim that they have to make sure I'm "healthy" since I was just around all of the smoke.
"You don't understand sir" I cried to one of the police men. "My son is at Fall Springs Hospital right now and I need to check on him."
"I'm sorry ma'am but it's the rules."
"What's the fucking rules?!" I shouted.
He looked at me. "You were just in a house fire, your lungs could be closing right now and you wouldn't even know it."
I shrugged and folded my arms. "I want my son. He's been jumped he could be in ICU in a critical condition and-"
"Ma'am." He said cutting me off. "Would you mind waiting outside?"
I stared at him in shock before angrily stomping outside. I grabbed a cigarette from my back pocket and grabbed a lighter out my other pocket. I lit the cigarette and took a puff.
"Bahja? What's going on?"
I looked over and saw Yn with a houserobe on. She had dried up tears on her face and her hair was messy.
I threw my cigarette. "Yn please go check on Kam the officers won't let me leave."
"Check on Kam?" She walked towards me. "Where is he and what happened?"
"It's to much to explain, honestly. But Kam's at Fall Springs Hospital and I need you to see if he's alright." I began to shed another tear. "Tell me if he's alright."
She started to comfort me. "Alright I'll go see him. Just let me go put on something appropriate."
Yn
I went inside the house and went straight upstairs. I put on my white killer emoji pants, black neckline crop top, and my Oreo Jordans. I fixed my hair into a big bun and put on my black cardigan.
I washed the dry tears off my face and grabbed my keys and phone, since the kids were asleep i slowly crept downstairs and left out the house.
I looked next door and saw that Bahja was talking to a firemen and a ambulance just pulled up. I don't know what was going on, but it's weird and she doesn't wanna talk about it.
I unlocked the car door and hopped inside, I started the ignition and pulled out my phone. Since Bee looks busy right now, I decided to just text her.
Watch the kids for me, they're sleep but keep a eye on them.
After a while, She simply replied Okay. I turned up the radio and began driving, I thought about Chres. I miss him already, I hope he calls soon.
India
I was at the movies watching Good Deed with Rayan and China. China was glued to the movie while Rayan was on his phone, I looked over and saw that he was texting. I wanted to know who he was texting but it was none of my business. I looked at the movie and saw that Tarija was being held hostage, I didn't even know what was going on. But whatever. I laid my head on Rayan's shoulder and he quickly put his phone up.
"This movie is boring." I whined.
He tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear and leaned closer to me so China won't hear. "How about we make it fun?"
I blushed. "How is that possible?"
He grabbed my jaws gently and kissed me. I kissed back, even tried to add tongue until I was interrupted by a phone call.
I rolled my eyes and looked at the caller ID, Michael.
I jumped up. "I gotta take this, excuse me."
I walked out the theater and answered my phone.
"Hello?"
"India can you come home? I have to talk to you."
"Talk to me about what?"
"You'll see when you get here."
"Well i won't be there anytime soon."
"Come on Indie, don't be like that!"
"I'm busy right now Michael!"
He sighed deeply. "Bye India."
I heard the phone beep. I rolled my eyes and walked back in the theatre to see Rayan leaving. I grabbed his arm, 'Where you going?" I said biting my lip. "Im pretty sure we wasnt done making the movie not boring."
He mushed me aside. "Yeah and im pretty sure you wasnt done talking to your boyfriend. Why'd you tell him you were busy? It's not like me and you are a thing India."
I raised my eyebrow. "We arent a thing?"
"No were not!" He barked back. "You have a boyfriend and im in the middle of getting a divorce."
"I thought we could start over." I said quickly. "We obviously miss eachother and-"
"Save that shit." He looked at me. " You might wanna get out of here."
Yn
I walked inside the hospital doors and walked to the front desk.
"How may I help you?" A nice elderly lady asked.
'Hi Im visiting my godson, Kamren Crippen." I told her.
She frowned. "Baby I'm sorry but visting hours are over."
I sighed. "Ma'am this is a serious emergency, his mother wasnt able to check on him and shes counting on me."
She stared at me for a while. "You look so fimilar."
I laid my head on the counter. "Not to be rude ma'am but-"
"Thats it!' She smiled. "You planned my daughters wedding three years ago, Natalie Brooks - Lofton. Remeber her?"
I smiled lightly. "One of my favorite clients, hows her and Kurt?"
"Theyre fantasic, even had twins together - two boys. Julian and Bradley." She turned towards the computer. "Whats the childs name again? I think I could let you slide."
After telling her again and getting Kamren's room ifnormation, I went to visit him. His doorn was open, he had bandages across his face and a broken arm and leg. He was watching Spongebob on the tv.
I walked inside, "How old are you? Sitting here watching Spongebob." I joke.
"13 and dont you forget." He turned towards me and smiled lightly. "Hey Mrs. August."
"Hey Kam." I laughed. "You okay?"
He sighed. "My head is killing me, and everything else I just cant move." He looked around. "Wheres my mom?"
"She's at home, the police and firemen wouldnt let her leave." I explained.
"Police? Firemen?." He coughed lowly. "Whats going on?"
I shrugged. "If I knew I'd tell you."
"Where's Ari? I wanted to see her. She's mad at me because I didnt invite her to the football game. I glad I didnt though- just because of what happened."
"She's at home too, sleep." I said. "And also Jacob and Kai."
He turned back to the tv. "All they fed me was milk. You know that Mrs. August? No real food." He said. "Im starved."
"I could get you some chips from the vending machine if you like." I offered.
"They sell muffins." He coughed once more, "I would like a banana one."
I nodded. "Okay, I'll be right back."
