(Kat. Kat, it's another one. I MADE ANOTHER ONE)
Jonathon and Trevor (Trevor's POV)
"Come on, Jonathon, one date," I said with a pout, putting my hands on my hips.
"No! I don't want to go on a date with you, Trevor," he said, shooting me an annoyed glance. Trish laughed from the couch nearby.
"You know he won't stop bugging you until you agree," she said to Jonathon, putting her feet on the table. "It's just a date, it's not like you're swearing to love him forever."
"Though that would be a bonus," I added, flashing him a flirtatious smile. He looked at me with his annoyed expression, then threw his hands up in exasperation.
"Fine! But only one date. No more than that."
I grinned and bounded forward, slinging an arm around him. "Great, let's go," I said and dragged him outside, ignoring his protests. I walked over to Shay, knowing my sister's dragon would take us out to the lake. She sighed deeply and crouched down. I helped Jonathon on, discreetly grabbing his butt as he went up and looking away innocently when he glared down at me. I swung up behind him and Shay grunted again before taking off.
We traveled in silence until Shay landed. I jumped down and tugged Jonathon off hard enough that he collided with my chest. I flashed him a crooked grin and he scowled, shoving me away. He turned around, pulling up short when he saw the blanket set out with a basket of food. He whirled back to face me. "You planned this!" he exclaimed, pointing at the blanket.
I shrugged innocently. "Maybe I did and maybe I didn't," I replied and walked over to the blanket, sitting and patting the spot beside me. He reluctantly came over and sat as I pulled out two sandwiches, handing him one. We started eating and I eventually managed to pull him into a conversation.
About twenty minutes later he lifted his head. "It's already sunset?" he asked in surprise.
"Yeah," I said, laying back on the blanket and placing the now-empty basket aside. Jonathon laid down beside me, his arm pressed against mine and his leg no more than an inch away. I could feel the warmth of his body and looked over at him. He turned his head at almost the same time and met my eyes. I kept eye contact for a moment before slowly rolling onto my side, propping myself up on my elbows and leaning in. His eyes widened but he didn't move away, so I placed my arm on his other side and brushed my lips across his slowly, testing him. He stayed stiff and unwilling until I put a little more pressure. Then he softened with a quiet sound, one hand sliding up and wrapping in my hair to pull me down against his chest as he kissed me back.
It felt like there was a zoo in my stomach, my heart was pounding like crazy, and my mind was a jumbled mess. All I could smell was him and he tasted like honey from the sandwich. There was the crack of a branch nearby a moment later and he let out a surprised sound, shoving me away and sitting up, face flushed and hair messed up. We both stilled as we saw the two dragons standing nearby. One couldn't be much older than Chess, a small female. The larger was obviously a male if his defensive posture and razor sharp teeth were anything to judge by.
I was too focused on the dragons to notice Jonathon standing up and stepping toward them until he was too close for me to stop. "Jonathon!" I exclaimed, lurching to my feet. The male snarled at me loudly, glancing in my direction for a moment before refocusing on Jonathon, looking ready to pounce.
Jonathon waved a hand at me, obviously telling me to stay quiet. The little female squeaked and bounded forward suddenly to meet Jonathon. She sniffed at him eagerly and the male growled loudly as Jonathon slowly crouched down to place a hand on her head. She cocked her head up at him curiously and chirped, nuzzling his hand with her nose. I saw Jonathon's eyes widen and his face change into an expression of shock.
*He just bonded with a dragon,* I thought. Then, *A dragon that interrupted our date.*
