Chaser Past (Hiccstrid)

Chapter Two

The days were the same. Morning, school, home, studying, sleeping. She tried to avoid her friends. To be exact not her friends just Hiccup. He started to go the same class as the others and it was pretty awkward.

'Why?' she asked herself. 'Everything was nearly okay. And then he came back to my life just like a hurricane.'

A random student came up against her while she was thinking. She nearly fell but someone grabbed her waist, and helped up her. 

,,Look out Goldie. There are too many improvident students here." Hiccup said.

She didn't answer. She was in a completely shock. 'Should I believe in destiny? From now on I will I promise, just don't push me into situations like that.' she thought. She stared at Hiccup's emerald eyes. They were glamorous. She had fell in love with these eyes in the beginning as she remembered.

She gave herself  a 'mental-slap in the face'. She shouldn't have stare at him like that. So she press away from him, and started to walk to the other direction without any words.

 ,,You can't avoid him forever. Just try to talk to him. You don't have to get on with him. Just can't ignore him forever. " Heather said.

,,Why?" she sighed and tilted to her lockers. 

 ,,He is our friend. He is YOUR friend. A really close friend. We spend a lot of time together. We don't wanna lose either of you." 

,,We argued. I can't stand him. I mean...and he definitely feel the same way."

 ,,But you are two-year older now, and it doesn't seem that he would hate you." she raised her eyebrow.

,,That's nothing. I guess...ehhh. This is such a mess."  Astrid sighed.

,,Just try to be nice. Please Ast. You can forget this easily if you treat him politely." Heather looked at Astrid's thinking face.

,,You don't know that Heather."

,,But I'm almost sure I do." 

Suddenly Fishlegs appeared on the corridor.

,,Hey girls, babe." he said and gave a quick kiss to his girlfriend. ,,What are you talking about?"

 ,,Just girly things. By the way I have to go Astrid. I will drop you a message at night okay?" 

,,Of course. "she answered and closed his locker. 

,,Have a nice afternoon." 

,,You too." they both said and walked away.

 Astrid was walking home. It was quite good weather. The sun was shining, she was listening music. It was pretty calm. 

Suddenly Astrid feeled that someone touched her shoulder. 

,,What the...?" she asked when she turned around. 

,,Hey Goldie." Hiccup smiled. ,,Can I join?" 

,,Can you just stop calling me like that?!" she complained. ,,And if you want." she said awkwardly and put out her headphones. 

 ,,Look... I'm sorry for that Saturday. If I had known..." 

,,But you hadn't." she interrupted him. 

Hiccup smiled gently. 

,,It's good to know that you still like interrupt people when they are talking."

 Astrid was silent. She didn't answer, even she didn't feel like she should answer that statement. They weren't friends or anything. 

,,So...I'm sorry. Everything. That Saturday. The things between us..." he scratched his neck.

 ,,Okay,I forget it just stop the apologizing." she said and she started to feel like her cheek will burn up. 

,,Are you still angry with me, aren't you?" 

She didn't know what to say. She loved him two years ago. Few days after, she had started to hate him and miss him at the same time. He had done things that he shouldn't have. He was about to cheat on her. 

She didn't know he was too drunk really or there was any other reason. He had broken her heart and than gone away. 

But now he was here and he was kind of nice like they hadn't got this mad past. 

 ,,Just. Leave me alone." she said. The half of her thought 'Okay, start again. and the other half 'No, no, no!!!' 

,,Fine..." Hiccup said sadly. ,,I don't want to mess your new life. Just start again. I promise." 

Astrid sighed. They reached the end of the street where Astrid has to turn to the right and Hiccup has to turn to the left. She stopped. 

 ,,Okay. You know what? Start again. No past, there is...there was nothing between us. Deal?" she offered her hand. 

 ,,Deal."
