Chaser Past (Hiccstrid)

Chapter Three

,,Hey guys" Hiccup said and sat on the bleachers.

,,Hey Hiccy" Tuffnut greeted him. ,,AS-TRID, AS-TRID" he cheered with the crowd.

Astrid was a member of the School Volleyball team called Berkian Bees. She was in the 5 best players and she was really proud of it.

It was an ordinary workout but the guys had promised to watch her 'friendly-match' against another team.

,,They will definitely win." Ruffnut said. Suddenly she smashed the ball.

New point.

,,As I said." he wondered.

The judge whistled and Astrid went to her friends.

,,You are in form Ast." Snotlout said as he offered a battle of water.

,,Yeah, yeah it's fine." she accepted that, gasped and slowly ran back to the others.

,,She have improved a lot." Hiccup said.

,,Yes, just look at her technique." someone answered.

Hiccup slowly started to stare at her. Her hair was in a sporty braid. Her strip was yellow and black like a bee. Her arms and legs were very strong. It showed that she was a 'sportswoman'.
'Damn she's as beautiful as the day I lost her.' he thought. 'Maybe a little longer hair, yeah and...'

,,If you look at her like that we will think that you are still in love with her." Snotlout laughed.

,,Snotlout!" he shouted back playfully.

,,It was awesome Astrid!" Ruffnut praises her.

,,Thank you... Well yeah it wasn't that bad." she answered wearily.

,,So leaving?" Snotlout looked at Ruffnut and she noded.

,,Can I come with you?" Tuffnut asked and grinned...

,,Fine. Come to the car." Snotlout waved.

Astrid was in an awkward silence. She didn't say anything, she couldn't say anything. 'Alone with him again. That's insane.' she thought.

,,So how are you about walking home together?" Hiccup asked with a smile.

,,S...sure okay." she said. It was really confusing.

So they started to walk together. They left on streets, but nobody spoke.

,,You have improved a lot since... " Hiccup started but he received a death-glare from Astrid. ,,I mean you are playing great."

Astrid slowly started to smiling. 'He paid attention to not talk about our past. That's kinda cute. What?' She suddenly shook her head.

,,Thank you so much." she said.

Another two following-street passed without words.

'She definitely still hates me. I don't know what I thought that she will like me again or anything. What?' he wondered.

Astrid just walked and brought her bags. She seemed like she will break.

,,Can I help you? Give me your sports bag." he offered. Astrid was looking him like she hadn't heard what he said but then she give that to him.

,,Thank you it's very heavy. My arm started to break down." she laughed.

'How tinkling is her laugh.' he reckoned. And then 'What?' again.

,,Oh that's nothing for me. You know I'm the most muscular person."

,,Of course...and the most egoistic." she grinned.

,,Ohww that's hurt. Why did you say that?" he acted.

,,Ow I'm sorry big baby boo for I'm too honest for you." she grinned.

,,Why are you so mean?"

,,I'm not mean." she answered.

,,Yes, you are." She hit his shoulder.

,,Owww okay okay okay you are the nicest girl I have ever met."

,,That sounds okay Mister." she laughed.

The minutes passed and they didn't even realize they left the street corner where they should have separated. To be honest they had a good time together.

,,Oh thank you to for the accompanying. It was cool." she smiled at him and took back her bag.

,,Yeah it was." he said and put his hand in his pocket.

,,Okay so...Bye then." she waved and went to the garden.

,,Yeah! Bye! Have a nice afternoon!" he stared at her.

'Maybe we can be friends again. Maybe we can.' he thought.

,,Next Friday it is Ruffnut's birthday. We have to make an awesome, unforgettable night." Snotlout whispered.

,,Yeah definitely she will have the most amazing party in the world." Heather approved.

,,What's the plan?" Astrid asked.

They were sitting in the middle of the cafeteria, and they were planning all of the party's details.
They were 'lucky' because Ruff had to go with the teacher to talk about her results on some competitions.

,,You...and Heather are going to take her to the plaza. Tell her something like that. ,,Hey sweetie pie have a girly night on Friday okay?""he imitated the girls.

,,Stop it,Snot ,they don't even talk like that." Hiccup said and hit him gently.

,,Okay, then you are going to come to her house...maybe at 7 o'clock. By this time we will have been ready for the party. We will buy the drinks, snacks, cake ect..."

,,Okay got it." Astrid said.
