"Tre, stop it!" I laughed, as he kept putting a snake he was holding in my face.
"Come on, Fred is nice." He said.
"Fred? You named it?"
"Yeah man. What's wrong with Fred."
"Nothing Tre." I waved my beloved off before me.
He swiftly places Fred around my neck, making me gasp. He shushed me, then sat back down in his spot.
"See, he's friendly. And he likes you." Fred faced me and stuck out his tongue.
"He's... kind of cute." I admitted.
"You're even cuter." He smiled at me, making me blush.
The simplest things just made my heart fly. It was so infatuating because I've never felt like this with anyone before. Sure I've had boyfriends and been intimate before, but this was a whole other feeling. That feeling was love. It was foreign to me, but I recognized it with Tre.
"You're mine forever. Nothing will break us apart." He intertwined his fingers with mine.
"What if they find me?" I didn't want to ask, but I wanted to know what his reaction would be.
"I said nothing right? They find you, they'll have to kill me to take you." He said.
"You're too good for me."
"I feel the opposite." He said in almost a whisper.
"Stay with me forever." I said.
"Don't even have to tell me." He leaned in for a passionate kiss...

My eyes slowly opened, my blurry vision attempting to get used to my surroundings. I quickly realized where I was.
Bear was awake, but his head was still on my shoulder. Jarad was driving still with on hand on the steering wheel and one holding his side. I looked down at my wrist, grazing the capital "T" that was permanently tattooed on my body.
I miss him...
"Good morning sleeping beauty." Jarad said, looking at me through the mirror.
"Hey... how long has it been?" I scratched my head.
"Like 40 mins. Not long at all. You okay?" He asked.
"I'm fine." I answered, glancing at his wound. "We need to get help with that like ASAP."
"Bro, it don't even hurt anymore."
"I want to take over."
"No, let me do this. It's fine."
"Jarad, you're going to piss me off."
"Lani, don't swear." Bear scolded. I almost forgot about him.
"Ah, sorry sweetheart. Just a little frustrated." I said. "You're making me mad Jarad."
"Sucks."
Understanding that I wasn't going to win with him, I sat back and blew out some air. I didn't want to say anything else that would possibly scare Bear, so I stayed quiet.
"I'll let you have it in about an hour." Jarad said.
I didn't reply, I just looked through the car for possible loot left behind. Maybe some food or a first aid kit.
An aggressive growl sounded from Bear's stomach and he looked up at me with a face that almost had me burst into tears.
"Jarad-"
